~ Ash's POV ~
I got to my first town and called my mom then Gary
"hey Gare!" I smiled widely
"hey Ash! How's things going for you so far?" he smiled
"uh great! I just need to look for the gym" I smiled
"oh Ash" he chuckled
"what's funny?" I pouted
"you need three Pokémon in order to get a gym battle" he chuckled once more
"then I'm on my way to find myself some new Pokémon for my team! Bye!!!" I smiled waving
"sounds good, be careful, bye" Gary smiled as we hung up the call
"come on Pichu!" I smiled as Pichu nodded and followed me
A/N: this next part as well as the next chapter has a connection to season 10, episode 2, 'two degrees of separation'!!
As I was walking with Pichu I was looking for a good Pokémon
"hm, maybe that one?!?" I smiled then it got away . . .
"or!" then that one got away too and Pichu looked exhausted so I carried him he is a baby still anyways
I sighed, I never thought getting a Pokémon could be this difficult
After resting by a tree some talking Meowth came out complaining
"Jessie and James don't know how tired I am of blasting off then having to looked for them" he put his paws on his hips and looked around
"Pichu" I whispered
"a talking Meowth" I blinked amazed
"help me catch it?!?" I smiled
"Pichu!" he chimed
"k let's approach it slowly and carefully" I smiled as we both crawled
I then jumped out of bushes along with Pichu
"thunderbolt!!!" I yelled as Pichu did his thing but uh here's the thing . . .
Pichu didn't electrocute Meowth . . . he electrocuted me . . .
~ Meowth's POV ~
I was minding my own business since I got blasted off along with my two friends Jessie and James after trying to capture a Piplup from a new trainer she said her name was Dawn or whatever but that Piplup was rough and used bubble beam on us
and logically we blasted off
As I walked in the woods I fell in that's when that brat jumped out of nowhere calling his Pichu to use thunderbolt
that loser ended up electrocuting himself a which made me chuckle and approach the fried human
"so what's wrong kid? Why did you electrocute yourself?" I tiled my head as this kid just spoke gibberish
"he was trying to catch you" the Pichu retorted
"wha?!?" I had my jaw drop
"I thought . . . catching you would . . . m-make my boyfriend proud" the kid spoke up still quite fried
"boyfriend?!?" my jaw dropped more
"got a problem?" Pichu crossed his tiny paws
"of course not! I thought this kid was 12" I replied back
"sure" he turned his face away from me
I sighed
"you need help kid?" I blinked at this kid
"y-yeah" he blinked
"who should I call?" I sighed picking up his phone
"G-Gary please" he said hurting
"okay!" I started scrolling through contacts and found it
"speaker please" he said as put it on speaker while the phone was ringing I was thinking:
this Pichu is quite strong, very and it's just a baby I know because I obviously speak Pokémon
maybe he can make a good gift for the boss . . .
"hello?" a cocky voice sprung
"Gary Gary!!!" Pichu started talking
"I accidentally electrocuted Ash what to I do?" he said pleading but of course this kid didn't understand
"uh Pichu?" he said confusingly so I spoke up as a translator
"ahem" I cleared my throat
"my name is Meowth kid, this kid Ash, tried catching me and well the dumb kid called it Pichu's thunderbolt making him electrocute Ash and it was all to catch me" I sighed
"a talking Meowth?!?" he said shocked
I get that all the time and not gonna lie it gets pretty annoying
"yes I'm a talking Meowth that is not the point" I retorted
"you're right, may I speak to Ash?" he said
I put the phone next to this kid who spoke up
"Gary I feel fuzzy" he said
"it's normal, it's just the electricity" this Gary guy said
"babe I told you to be careful" he lectured sounding every syllable in the last three words as the kid blinked
"I'm not stupid Gary" he retorted
"that's his boyfriend?!?" I mouthed to Pichu who nodded
"Pichu? Meowth?" the Gary guy said
"yes?" we both replied
"hey Ash an Oran berry it'll help, it's blue, you'll be able to tell. don't fail me please" he said gentle as he could be
"okay" Pichu and I agreed
After getting him his Oran berry he was able to move
"hey! Thanks! I feel good as new!" he smiled as Pichu jumped into his arms
"yeah no problem" I waved a hand around and left
It took me a bit to catch up to Jessie and James and when I did I told them all about this Pichu
"oh so it's strong" James put a hand on his chin
"yup, I think we'll have better luck with that Pichu than that Piplup earlier
"well then let's go catch it and give it to the boss!" Jessie smiled with her fist up in the air
~ Ash's POV ~
After recovering we walked around more and we saw that Meowth from earlier
"hey Meowth!" I smiled running to him along with Pichu
"oh hey kid" he smiled
"what are you doing?" I blinked
"uh nothin much just strolling around the street" he said casually
"oh, cool, we're gonna catch some Pokémon!" I grinned
"you have fun" he smiled
"see at around kiddo" he walked off
"bye!" I waved
As Pichu and I were watching a couple of Swablu's singing and flying around a tree we made it our mission to see which one would be best to catch
"focus okay Pichu?" I smiled as Pichu chimed
"now let's approach slowly" we started crawling like we did with Meowth
"okay Pichu you go ahead, I don't want to get electrocuted like last time" we both giggled
"Pichu!" he called out as he attacked but that's when some met captured Pichu
"P-Pichu!" I called out
Then two people one woman with pink hair and a man with blue hair started saying some weird motto
"prepare for trouble" they said as I cut them off
"do you mind?!?" I scowled
"ow the little mouse can speak" some familiar? voice said
I then saw it was Meowth . . .
