Chapter 5 - Mission Sinnoh Lake Spirits

A/N: this has connections to the episode with the three Sinnoh Lake Spirits being captured by Team Galatic. <3

I finally have spring break this week! I'm hoping I'll be able to update this more often!

~ Gary's POV ~
I woke up making myself some coffee not being nosey or anything but a conversation Professor Rowan was having caught my attention
"Mesprit has been caught?!?" he said in shock
"you think they may after Uxie and Aself?" he asked
"what?" I whispered to myself then approaching the window since I can see Lake Valor from the lab window where Azelf is known to live

"Gary you're awake" Professor Rowan called behind me making me jump
"uh yes sir" I gulped trying to not sound worried
"I got some stuff to sort out of you don't mind looking after the lab" he said as he put on a coat
"yeah sure no worries" I blinked
"uhm, Crystal will be coming along with me along with Dara so it'll just be you here" he added
"yeah no problem I don't mind" I nodded

I was walking in circles as I just thought about what could happen to Azelf and Uxie if whoever it is gets to them
"Pika Pi?" I heard Ashy
"uh good morning buddy"
"Pika Pi?" he asked even more frustrated
"I'm just worried for Azelf and Uxie that's all" I shook my head
he tilted his head blinking at me
"nev–" I then stopped myself when I heard some type of plane? outside
"the fuck" I approached the window and ran out the lab and I heard Ashy behind me and I saw a plane

"who are you?" I raised an eyebrow
some guy with blue hair that was styled as if he had cat ears came out of the plane
"I just came to take of something" he shrugged it off clearly ignoring me
"what?" I blinked watching him approach the lake
"run along kid" he waved a hand as a purple haired girl as well as a redhead also came out of the plane
they all had these weird outfits with a yellow 'G' on them
they had a ton of laptops and stuff I didn't even know what to even do

That was until I saw them taking out Azelf from the lake
"what are you doing?!? Leave Azelf alone!" I ran up to where they were
the blue haired guy looked at me and literally ignored me

~ Ash's POV ~
After getting ignored Gary argued with these people but they threaten us saying that if we did something they shock Azelf and hurt it along with Uxie which they already had in their plane

Gary and I just stood there helpless and it was sad seeing Azelf struggle and just in complete fear
I wanted to help and I wanted to a find a way to make them stop without Azelf getting hurt but I couldn't think of thing
even if we tried they'd hurt them no matter what

As the plane left Gary fell to his knees and started punching the ground compelled frustrated and angered with himself
"Gary stop!!" I blinked my tears away but of course he can't understand me
"I'm such a coward!" he yelled crying his eyes out
"no you're not!" I yelled and climbed onto his lap and hugged him with my tiny paws that I wish were my actual arms so I could just hold him

"I don't why I decided to become a ranger, I'm not even good at it I'm terrible" he sobbed more
I tightened my grip on him even though I'm sure he couldn't feel it but I still tried my best to hold him
"Pika Pi" I looked up at him
"I'm sorry" he sniffled hugging me tightly as I attempted to do the same
I buried my face into his chest and just took a deep breath and looked up at him
he gave me a soft smile then said
"let's go save Azelf and the other lake spirits" he smiled
I nodded and we left to his car 

I didn't know where on Earth Gary was going but when I glanced a bit up ahead I saw the plane those people were in not too far from us

Once we got to where they landed  we both snuck up on them there we saw some other people who I'm guessing are from this group these people are in
not long after there was some portal? Not sure what it was but it looked like another universe
"we have to follow them" Gary said and ran
I couldn't protest since he had already ran so I had no choice but to follow him

Gary was out of his mind and entered this weird portal thing but I didn't want to leave him alone so I jumped in with him
whatever this was it was weird, and dark
"look Ashy, the lake spirits" Gary whispered
I looked over to see the three turned into stone
"we have to think of a way to get them back to normal" Gary mumbled

Minutes later two big Pokémon appeared
"Palkia and Diagla" Gary's eyes widened
"they're legendary Pokémon Ashy" Gary explained
I nodded and we saw the two attacking like crazy
"what's wrong with them?" Gary blinked just in shock
I then noticed a red belt like things around them
"Pika Pi!" I pointed
"what is it?" Gary raised an eyebrow then noticed
"nice looking buddy" he pet me making me smile
"k let's find a way to break that red chain thing" he said as I nodded

Once Umbreon, Electivire and Gary's Blastoise attacked we were able to break the chain thankfully
of course we had to do some battling with those people we saw earlier Gary called out an attack and well they did as well and as Umbreon dodged I guess I was in the way that the attack hit me and I just saw my vision get blurry
and I fell unconscious

~ 3rd Person POV ~
"Ashy?!?" Gary called out shaking the Pikachu
"Ashy wake up please!" he but his lip
he picked him up and held him up to his chest
Gary kept battling the group of people and thankfully Palkia and Diagla recognized who the true villains were as it all happened what seemed to be the leader of the group let himself get sucked into this new universe he kept mentioning

"Cyrus! No!" a redhead yelled trying to also get close to this black hole like opening until a blue haired boy held her back
"why would he do that?" Gary whispered while tightening his grip on Ash who was still unconscious

Once getting out of the whole situation Team Galatic was arrested, while Gary was able to recover the lake spirits
"what happened to Ashy?" Crystal looked at the Pikachu concerned who was being treated by a nurse
Gary sighed
"he got hit by a strong attack and fell unconscious" he frowned
"he's fine just give him this berry when he wakes up" the nurse approached the auburn with a pink berry
"okay, thanks" he smiled

Gary approached Ash and just let him lightly
"I'm sorry Ashy, I hope you'll be okay" he frowned yet smiled at seeing the Pikachu resting.
