~ Ash's POV ~
Fantina finally told me she's back in town to do gym battles which makes excited because I've stayed in Hearthome City for a while now waiting for her to accept my gym battle, I did challenge her before but I lost due to her hypnosis attacks her Ghost Pokémon would use

"let's go Pikachu!" I said as we ran to the entrance where I just felt myself hit my head onto another hard surface
"can you two watch where your going?!?" a chaotic voice said
"huh?" I looked up blinking to see a blonde running his head then getting up
"that's it!" he stomped
"I'm going to give you fine! You got 10 seconds! 9 . . . 8 . . . 7" he said looking at his watch then he looked at me
"don't just stand there! Do something!" he stomped
"but I don't know what to do . . . " I blinked
"agh! Whatever! I gotta get going if I'm going to become the greatest trainer that ever lived!" he said with his orange orbs sparkling
"later!" he waved and ran off

"hm, wonder who he was" I blinked as Pikachu nodded
I then noticed he dropped his badge case
"this must be his" I blinked but I couldn't think straight once Fantina came outside
"hello! Have you came to challenge me??" she said as I smiled shoving the badge case in my pocket, I'll return it to him later
"h-hi, and yes I did!" I chimed
"oh! That's great!" she clapped her hands
"come on in!!" she smiled as we entered her Gym

A/N: i'm not good at battles so I'll just skip to the climax of the battle and end it since again, i suck at battling parts. 😂😊

While battling it was easy at first, I was using Eevee but then Fantina used Hypnoses which made Eevee confused and she lost, I was stumped once I brought out Ambipom but I got an idea from my Jubelife City Contest, I remember Zoey used that same attack on Dawn and Dawn broke it by having Piplup spin and use Bubble Beam which made a barrier around him so I decided to try it but with a new spin
"Hypnosis Drifblim!" Fantina smiled
"Ambipom, spin and use Swift!" I called out and it actually worked and we hit Drifblim directly making it fall back
"okay! Focus Punch!" I said as Aipom did so and hit Drifblim directly again

After a couple more attacks we win, as Fantina went to Drifblim and kneeled next to it
"noooooo!" she said dramatically as Pikachu, Ambipom and I blinked at each other pretty weirded out until–
"there you are thief!" the same boy I ran into before said pointing a finger accusingly at me
"me?!?" I blurted out
"yes you! I'm going to fine you!" he said and was about to count but Fantina came to us

"Barry what do you mean, he's thief?" Fantina blinked
"he was the last person i saw before losing my badge case!" he pointed at me again
"oh wait!" I said as I took it out and handed it to him
"you see I found it right at the moment you told me you were ready to battle me Fantina" I smiled as she nodded understandingly as Barry still looked unimpressed

"sorry about that" I smiled
"hm, fine fine your apology is accepted" Barry waved a hand around
"anyways I gotta pickup Roselia from the Mime Jr. Daycare" Barry said cocky as he started to turn his heals
"Mime Jr. Daycare?" Fantina asked
"it's a daycare where they revolve to Pokémon within an hour" he stood proudly as Fantina and I looked at each other knowing that had to be impossible

"take us to this Mime Jr Daycare you speak of" Fantina said as Barry nodded and we followed

~ 3rd Person POV ~
"WHAT?!? WOBBUFFET DAYCARE?!?" the blonde exclaimed in shock
"maybe you made a mistake when you read the sign" the ghost type gym leader blinked
"I didn't! I swear the mascot was a Mime Jr! The logo said it!" the blonde said
"alright let's calm down, I'll go ask" Fantina said as she went and the two boys nodded and waited
