~ 3rd Person POV ~
"who was that guy?" Dawn blinks at the boy after hanging up the phone
"uhm, a friend" Ash said nervously he wasn't embarrassed of Gary but he wanted his relationship to be private and not be disturbed in any way
"if he's 'just a friend' then why did you both say 'love you'? I mean I don't say that to my friends" the bluenette chuckled
"uh well that's how we get along . . . " Ash hid his blush by carrying both his Pokémon and making them cover his face
"well, you do make a good couple with him" she giggled
"y-you're crazy!" Ash blushed more
"whatever" she kept her giggling
"he seems like a nice guy" she smiled
"yeah he is" Ash smiled
Ash then spotted a familiar face and it was that guy he bumped into when he entered the Pokémon Center
Ash looked at him and shivered
"that guy gives me the creeps" he murmured to his Pokémon who nodded agreeing with their trainer
"who him?" Dawn pointed as the ravenette nodded
"oh Ash I'm sure he's not too bad" she giggled
"watch this" she giggled as she went to the purple haired trainer
"hey! My name's Dawn and this is my partner Piplup, I just wanted to be friends you know?" she smiled as her Proud Pokémon stood its proud posture
"okay?" the trainer looked unimpressed
"well?? What do say we become friends??" she giggled
"no thanks" he walked off
Ash chuckled at the sight along with Pichu
"hmph! The nerve of people" she crossed her arms as she approached the jet black haired boy again
"well I better go" she smiled as she got her Piplup
"yeah sounds good, bye" the ravenette waved as they parted ways
"okay Pichu and Aipom one more buddy and we can challenge the first gym!" Ash giggled excited as his Pokémon cheered
A bit more walking and Ash sighed
"I miss Gary" he frowned
his Pokémon talked to him in their language trying to comfort him
"it's okay guys no worries" he smiled as they kept walking
"you guys want lunch?" he smiled as his Pokémon smiled cheering
The trio sat on some grass and ate
"I'm stuffed!" Ash giggled lying on his back
"Ai!" Aipom chuckled also on his back
"Pichu!" Pichu smiled as he put the last apple slice in his mouth
As the trio rested a bit more Ash looked around and spotted the wild Pokémon running around and he smiled
"k guys let's go!" he hoisted his backpack to his left arm then the right
Ash kept walking then a as they all walked a Buneary hopped out of a bush
"Bun?" it tilted it's head
"awh cute!" Ash took out his Pokèdex and heard the information it would say about Buneary
"awh so cute I want it!" Ash giggled as he approached the Buneary
"hi!" he smiled as the Buneary cheered
"Pichu!" the yellow baby mouse cheered along as Aipom came and smiled
"Ai!" it handed one of his bananas to Buneary who gladly took it
Ash was about to suggest to Buneary to come along with him but then a net was thrown onto Buneary and caught it
the ravenette looked up and saw the same trio from before Jessie, James and Meowth
the trio said their motto making Ash roll his eyes and had his Pokémon attack
But like any other time the trio managed getting away for some time
"Buneary!" Ash called out
meanwhile Buneary was using its dizzy punch to get out of the glass case
"he thinks he can get out to the case" Meowth chuckled as the Buneary scowled and talked in it's language
"huh? Oh you're a girl sorry about a that kiddo anyways, your jumps and kicks are something great for the boss" Meowth chuckled once more as their machine rolled
The machine kept running then got hit by something which was Aipom's swift
"drat! The twerp caught up" Meowth said as he supervised the back of the machine
"okay Aipom use your focus punch and Pichu thunderbolt!" Ash called out signaling to the case where Buneary was trapped in
Once breaking the case Ash caught Buneary in his arms
"gotcha!" he giggled as Aipom gave another focus punch and Pichu another thunderbolt which which sent Team Rocket blasting off once again
"you okay?" Ash smiled at the Buneary as she cheered
"now it's time for me to ask you something I wanted to ask you earlier, would you like to join our team?!?" Ash giggled smiling brightly as ever
"Bun!" she smiled as Ash grinned widely and took out a Pokéball and gently tapped it on Buneary's head and which let Buneary in
After a couple wobbles Buneary was now fully Ash's
"you know what this means?" he glanced at both Aipom and Pichu
"we can challenge our first gym!" Ash cheered as he held the Pokéball up and cheered
Pichu and Aipom also cheered jumping with the ravenette out of excitement
"let's notify Gary!" he smiled at his Pokémon companions who nodded agreeing with the ravenette
A/N: This part of the chapter connects to Season 10 Episode 8 'Gymbaliar'
– Time Skip To The Next Day –
"so the first gym is here?" Ash tilted his head as he saw the very colorful building
"this looks like a kindergarten" he blinked as he was about to walk in as a blue haired man with according to Ash goofy looking glasses greeted him
"come challenge the glorious Gardenia!" he smiled as he basically dragged the boy and pushed him into the 'gym'
"okay?" he blinked
"and if you lose we'll keep your Pokémon for 24 hours and train it into a full fledge champion!" he added
"wow really?!?" Ash's eyes sparkled
"mhm" he snickered as the boy entered the supposedly battle area
Meanwhile Gary was enjoying a morning coffee and doing his usual research
"so you've heard from Ash?" Dara smiled as she approached the auburn
"yes I have, he's challenging his first gym today" he smiled proudly at his boyfriend's accomplishments
"he's caught an Aipom and a Buneary so far" he added
"that's quick" she chuckled as she went to her office
Gary smiled at himself and kept enjoying his coffee
"uh okay, ice beam!" Ash called out
"Buneary!" she called out as her ice crystals came shooting out
'not ice beam again!' Meowth thought himself under that Sunflora costume
With a direct hit 'Sunflora' was down
"Sunflora is unable to battle Buneary wins!" the referee who was James called out
"yay! We did it guys!" Ash jumped as he carried his three Pokémon
"okay so now I get my badge right?!?" he smiled brightly and proudly
"uh no" Jessie chuckled disguised as 'Gardenia'
"why not?" Ash pouted
"I think your Pokémon need more work so if you let me train them they'll be stronger okay?" Jessie snickered lightly
"uh okay?" Ash tilted his head
"okay see you in 24 hours!" James snatched the Pokémon from the boy as he rushed off to not train them but give them to their 'beloved boss'.
A/N: I wanted to say I'm not gonna do every DP episode I'm probably gonna make 5-7 more chapters of Ash traveling in Sinnoh (not too decided yet) then Unova then I'll end it at Kalos. 😊💗
(he'll still end up with Gary though. 😂💗
