~ 3rd Person POV ~
It was now the big day: the Sinnoh League, Ash was rushing and brushed his hair since Barry was rushing him
"come on Ash!" Barry exclaimed
"coming!" Ash said as he finished and left the restroom
"what's the rush anyways??" Ash blinked
"I'm gonna be meeting a friend" Barry smiled as Ash couldn't help but giggle
"a friend? Are sure it's not a girlfriend??" Ash giggled more
"uh no" Barry retorted with a lightly blushing making Ash giggle more
Once the two got to the supposed meeting spot for Barry to meet up with his friend Barry got impatient
"I'm am going to fine her!" Barry said tapping a foot impatiently and looking at his watch
"is she going to be in the Sinnoh League too?" Ash blinked
"nah, she's a coordinator she just participated in the Grand Festival, unfortunately she got second place" Barry slightly frowned as Ash gave him a sympathetic smile
"Barry!" a bright voice called as Barry turned to see his friend which coincidentally was Dawn
"Dawn! Took you long, now you got 10 seconds to pay your fine! 9 . . . 8 . . . 7 . . . !" Barry said as the brunette rolled her eyes
"oh shush, hey Ash, I didn't know you knew Barry" she smiled as Ash giggled
"we just met not long ago actually" Ash smiled as the bluenette smiled once more hugging her Proud Pokémon to her chest
"so you two excited?" Dawn smiled as the two nodded
"yup, just a bit nervous" Ash smiled
"I bet, it's your first league your participating in right?" Dawn smiled as Ash nodded
"well just do your best" Dawn smiled
– Time Skip To A Couple Days –
Ash had faced many battles so far
now he met a new opponent named Conway who was tough and full of many strategies which he learned after looking at his data page
"Conway is creepy" Dawn sighed
"you know him?" Barry turned to the brunette who nodded
"yup I entered a tag battle contest and we were partners" she explained as the two boys nodded
"well just do your best Ash" Dawn smiled as Ash nodded
"I will" he smiled as Conway came out of nowhere from the other row of computers
"of course I'll do my best dear Dawn" he chuckled as the bluenette freaked out running to Barry hiding behind him
"Conway?" Ash raised an eyebrow
"that's me" the teen adjusted his glasses
"what are you doing here?" Ash blinked as Barry scoffed
"he's checking your data Ash! He's scared!" Barry exclaimed as the teen rolled his eyes
"nope. I actually was checking Tobias's data" he chuckled
"Tobias?" the three said
"mhm a strong trainer, I'm sure we'll be head to head, after I defeat you of course Ash" Conway chuckled leaving as the boy gritted his teeth lightly in annoyance
"so anyways, Barry have you found out a bit more about Paul?" Dawn turned to Barry
"not much it just says he's a strong trainer with his ways" Barry shrugged
"wait, you're going to be battling Paul?!?" Ash said shocked
"oh yeah, I forgot to tell you" Barry grinned
"oh wow, good luck, he's strong" Ash said as Barry's jaw dropped
"you've battled him?!?" he said as Ash nodded slowly
"tell me everything! He's my idol!" Barry said as Dawn gave him a smack on the head
"he's a terrible person Barry, he shouldn't be your idol" Dawn said as Barry sighed thinking he was very misunderstood
