Chapter 7 - Confession

~ Gary's POV ~
"y-you do?" Ash blinked at me with those chocolate color eyes which were puffy
I hated the fact that I made him cry, I love him so much and I care for him a lot now I realize what I feel for him

I nodded and continued "it's weird I know, but when you were a Pikachu I felt a connection with you as I don't mean a friend connection but you know a love connection, it was a spark I didn't know at first but–" I bit my lip not knowing if I was explaining this correctly
"I felt that too . . . " Ash said softly and sweetly

I just love his voice . . .

"I've loved you ever since you were a Pikachu Ashy– I mean Ash I know I sound gross saying I was in love with you as a Pikachu and trust me even I think I need a psychiatrist" I chuckled
Ash also chuckled and rubbed his eyes still sniffling
I got off of him and we both sat up and I hugged him, holding him gently from the waist
"I'm so sorry" I buried my face into his neck
"it's okay Gary" he hugged back wrapping his arms around my neck

~ Ash's POV ~
We hugged for a couple minutes and pulled back
I took a deep breath and looked down
"Ash?" Gary said lifting my chin up to meet his eye level
"hm?" I looked into his beautiful shining eyes
"was . . . um . . . that . . . uhm" he was stumbling on words and blushed which made me hold back my laugh because it was so cute
"was that kiss you gave me . . . your first?" he bit his lip still blushing
"mhm" I also blushed nodding
"that wasn't a pleasant first kiss for the both of us" he chuckled
"yeah . . . " I laughed trying to hide my blush
"Ash?" he spoke again
"yes?" I smiled
"c-can I kiss you?" he smiled as we both blushed

I gulped and nodded
he smiled softly and got close to my face with one arm around my waist and his hand on my cheek
he slowly closed the distance between our lips
suddenly the noises around us disappeared it was as if there was no singing Kricketot, Kricketune, Swablu, Altaria and all the forest Pokémon

I wrapped my arms around his neck and just felt as our lips moved at the same pace slow but soft
Gary started licking my bottom lip
I smiled against his lips and tried teasing him with not letting him in
he growled making me giggle and I thought it was enough teasing and I let him in
his soft slick tongue explored every little centimeter of my mouth as I did the same with his

We both pulled back out of breath and just sighed satisfied
"was that better?" Gary chuckled
"yeah" I smiled
"you're a good kisser" I giggled
"I am an Oak" he smiled cocky as ever
"shut up" I chuckled giving him a hug as he returned it

"so um, what will we tell Crystal, Professor Rowan you know everyone" I bit my lip
"I'll do all explaining no worries" he racked my hair
"although like I had mentioned everyone knows about that girl with all her hocus pocus" Gary  chuckled

I laughed as well and he pressed his forehead against mine
"I love you Ashy boy" he teased
"I love you too Gary" I smiled
"let's go back inside and get you changed into some nice fresh clothes" he smiled looking at my clothes which were the same ones I had on when I started my journey and when I got turned into a Pikachu
"okay" I nodded and we headed inside the lab

"uh actually can I shower I feel like shit" I giggled
"yeah sure" Gary chuckled handing me some pants and all that stuff

~ Gary's POV ~
Ash got out of the shower and we just lied down with his head on my chest, while I smelled his hair and played with it
"so what's next after this?" I blinked at him
"I'm not sure, maybe I'll leave to go get my first gym badge . . . that's if you won't feel lonely without me" he looked up at me
"nah, I'll be fine, I want you to remember I want you to pursue your dream as well" I smiled ruffling his hair
"but I don't have one . . . " he frowned

"that's fine, but you'd aid you wanted to see the world so you do that okay?" I smiled giving him a kiss on the forehead
"without you?" he frowned
"I can't go if I could I would" I frowned back
"then I'm not leaving" he crossed his arms
"Ash do it for me" I lifted his chin
"but–" I pressed an index finger onto his lips
"don't worry about me, like I said you wanted to see the world so you'd house do that" I smiled
"okay" he nodded and gave me a hug

"oh man I forgot!" Ash yelled
"what's wrong?" I pulled back
"my mom I haven't called her in a month because of what happened . . . can I use a phone to something?" he looked nervous
"yeah sure use mine" I pulled it out and he dialed the numbers and just listened to the phone ring

Ash was getting lectured by his mom and it's as obvious with his embarrassed face
"mom calm down I was just ya know collecting badges" he laughed nervously I heard screaming and Ash held the phone away from his ear
"okay okay sorry" he sighed

After he was done he smiled nervously
"so?" I chuckled
"she yelled at me saying 'Ash you know I worry'" he mocked her voice which made me laugh
"at least she knows you're okay" I chuckled with my hand resting under my head as I just lied there
"yeah" Ash lied next to me

~ Ash's POV ~
I was about to say something but the gate of the lab opened which meant everyone was back
"let's go?" Gary smiled getting up
"mhm" I gulped
"it'll be okay" he smiled rubbing my shoulder
"okay" I smiled and we went downstairs

"where's Ashy Gary?!? I bought him a new squeaky toy!" Crystal chimed
I bit my lip and felt terrible for Crystal
"uh Crystal, Ashy isn't exactly who we all thought he was" I saw Gary out a hand on her shoulder
"huh?" she tilted her head then her eyes grew
"did he pass away?!?" she yelled
"no no no" Gary calmed her down
"whew!" she sighed
"then what do you mean?" she blinked
"Ash" Gary called me I gulped and walked down the stairs to face see Crystal
"wait . . . " she dropped the squeaky toy and looked at me
"you're Ashy . . . " she walked a circle around me
"yeah" I nodded
"awh" she pouted
"Crystal it's okay" Gary patted her shoulder

After explaining not just to Crystal, Professor Rowan all the researchers what happened
like Gary said they all knew about this girl and were understanding

Nighttime came and like always Gary and I slept in the same bed Gary having his arms tightly wrapped around my waist and his chin on my shoulder
giving me small kisses on the cheek and neck

I love him so much.
