Alex pov

"Stage four" Ella stutters, everything was going okay. It was okay, she was well.

"What does this mean" i say keeping my act up for Ella. Failing as I do so, as she slowly, gently grabs my hand again.

"It means that, Ella only has a few months left. We could try everything and hope for the best, or you could just leave it be and see where it takes you. However we are sorry."

Ella gulps and then continues, god she is so strong. "Was it because of the accident, is it to do with the fact that my legs got crushed." I look up at the doctor, "yes it is mostly because of that. Your legs were leaking marrow and now your lacking it massively and soon, your organs will collapse due it." So the doctor answered all our questions and Ella was more together then I was.

We spent the rest of the month, taking it all in before she lost her feeling of her legs again. Back to square one. Ella gets put into the hospital immediately.

My life spent just staring at someone I love go through so much pain. She screams, cries and has nightmares and I just watch. There is nothing that I can do but just watch.

"God this sucks" I finally say in the hallway of the hospital. "It's just sad someone's life can be taken away from you, this quickly" says Kayleigh. "And she doesn't even deserve it, it's just messed up" says Morgan.

They can't keep on reassuring me, I need to be strong enough but I literally can't. The nurse leaves the room, to see me sitting on the chair, with my hands over my face, Kayleigh standing with her hip swerved and her leg bent as she places her hand on her hip and Morgan with his arms crossed, leaning on the wall beside her. "You can go see her now".

I walk in after a light knock on the door, Kayleigh and Morgan were outside for a little while, to give me more time with her. I sit down besides her, after gently pressing a kiss to her forehead.

"How you feeling" as if she is feeling any better, god I am useless at this. "Not to bad" she presses a smile, the face is the only thing she can control now. She lost all movement of her body. First her legs, then her back, now her arms and soon she will be an emotionless girl, laying on a bed who wouldn't be able to talk.

She knows that. As she looks away from me, while I'm thinking, its as if she can tell that I am doing it.

"You want to hold my hand" i say as she slowly tries to form a nod but i stop her. "Don't, don't hurt yourself Ella." I take her hand in mine and slowly rub it but she can't feel it.

It's just you and me now Ella. "Alex" she says very tiredly as I look at her with a small smile. "Yes my love" i wait for her answer, but she releases a tear instead.

"What's wrong" good one Alex. You know what's wrong, why are you like this. "I can't talk no more," she finally says. Those being her last words before her tears fall from her face and she drops her emotion.

(This is a really short chapter, but thats because were officially near the end of Free!)
