[This is not entirely canon so don't piss a bitch thx😌 Hinas receives match his receives at the training camp in season 4. So not necessarily receiving fully but really close to getting it.😀]
Third Person P.o.v
Tadashi Yamaguchi was always a timid child. He had been picked on from a young age. The other kids bullied him for being small and having freckles. Even tho the boys freckles were the cutest little things. Due to all the bullying he had become an extremely shy, insecure, and overall nervous person. He would get distracted by his thoughts in crowds resulting in him being jumpy towards sudden noises. He had only had one friend since he was younger, Tsukishima. They became friends when Tsukishima insulted the bullies that were picking on Tadashi. Deciding to join a sport he picked volleyball. Yamaguchi had never had much of an interest in volleyball though. It helped that Tsuki was on the team. Now they were entering high school and since then they had stuck together.
The people in high school were different than the people Tadashi had encountered previously. These people were weird, unique, and easily accepting of him. The only thing was Tadashi felt that all the members were intensely gifted while he was not. Especially one that caught everyone's eye. He didn't catch their eyes because he was some star player, or because he was well known. He had caught their eyes because he was insanely small and had the drive of a thousand warriors. Though he wasn't unskilled. He had the reflexes and speed of a cheetah. Not to mention his jump wasn't something to overlook. Seeing him give his all in that first practice game made something erupt inside of Tadashi. Now he had this warm feeling whenever he thought about volleyball. He was determined to catch up to the older boy.
Improving wasn't gonna be enough. Tadashi wanted that kind of sunshine in his life. He was grateful for Tsuki and he'd never abandon him. But he wanted to see what it was like to be friends with someone so overwhelmingly positive and energetic. He decided he was going to try and befriend the little tangerine. Tadashi didn't want to go about it the wrong way so he formed a plan. He'd wait until practice came along and then he'd approach the boy offering to serve balls to him to help improve his new receive technique. The only downside to this plan was that Tadashi was not confident in his serving skills. The boy wasn't one of judge though, and if he was he was definitely good at hiding it. When Noya had hit the boy in the face when attempting to spike a ball, all he did was smile and cheer him on.
Time skip brought to you by Tsuki's Dinos😛~
It was Monday afternoon. School had just ended and practice was starting. Tadashi was as ready as he'd ever be to actively put himself out there. He had been practicing his serves with Shimada. A Karasuno Alumni member, that played on coach Ukai's neighborhood team. He had a killer serve in Tadashi's opinion, so he had spent the better part of two weeks practicing with him. Not much had changed he had just gained a better understanding of how he should be performing. Entering the club room with Tsuki they shared a few words as they changed. Hinata hadn't been there. He assumed it was because he was already in the gym, having raced kageyama to be the first here again. As they walked out of the club room to the gym they could hear the bickering between Kageyama and Hinata.
"Baka Kageyama Baka! You did it on purpose! I was no where near you!" Hinata was holding his head while arguing with kageyama. "You moron how am I supposed to control if you get hit when you aimlessly wander around like an idiot." At this Hinata just pouted then stuck his tongue out making a 'bleeeeeh' sound, while pulling his eye. "There they go, it hadn't even been half an hour yet and their already at top volume." Tsuki said in a monotonous tone. He simply fixed his glasses on his nose and walked away, sitting off to the side for now. Tadashi was now left alone at the door, he stood there swept up in his thought until he heard a ball smack against the floor.
