Chapter Ten: Reunited

Six continued to climb up the many shelves in search of something to throw at the button down below.

Theres gotta be something up here! She thought. She finally stopped her climbing once she reached the top of one of the shelves.

"Aha. Gross, but it'll work," She spoke aloud as her gaze landed on a jar nearby. Inside of it sat a rather large, disgusting brain.

She gagged as she picked up the jar, before flinging it down to the ground far below. Once it shattered, Six began to climb back down.

Stupid tall shelves... how is anyone supposed to reach anything? I doubt that creepy woman can even reach anything up here. Unless she uses her damn teeth. Six thought as she descended. Once she finally made it down to the ground, she cringed at the smell that had wafted into the air.

Hesitantly picking up the brain, and gagging again as she did so, she quickly chucked it at the button. As expected, the door then opened, and Six let out a sigh of relief, before wiping her hands on her gray cardigan. She then ran through the open door, hoping that Mono would be somewhere nearby. As soon as she ran into the room, Six heard a terrifying shriek from the other room, followed by footsteps. Six caught sight of a hole that lead into the other room up ahead, and she made a mad dash for it.

She slid through just as the creepy women stopped and stared at the room Six had formerly been in. Six stayed as quiet as possible now that she was hiding underneath one of the tables in the room. She shifted back a little as she watched the creepy woman turn away from the other room, and hobble over to one of the cabinets nearby.

Six drew in a deep breath, and as soon as the creepy woman's back was turned to her, she slowly and carefully made her way over to hide underneath another table. As soon as she made it there, Six turned back to get another look at the creepy woman. She watched as the women pulled a knife out of the cabinet, before leaving the room and heading into the next one. Six shivered, before crawling out from her hiding spot.

What's she doing to do with that knjfe..? Six wondered. She honestly didnt really want an answer, though. Six waited a few more minutes, before walking into the room the woman had entered. She flinched as movement caught her eye, and she saw the woman doing something at the counter.

Six then took a moment to look around the room. To her disappointment, there would be no easy way to get through this. There was a small opening in the wall across the room, but the only way she would be able to reach it is by climbing up onto the counter. But that's where the woman was.

Theres jars up there. I can just try to hide behind those. Six thought. But she was still incredibly uncertain, and more importantly, terrified. She was so scared, and so tired. She almost wanted to fall asleep right where she was to escape this reality, and dream about better things. But she knew she couldnt just do that. Not now.

Mono was depending on her.

Six took in a deep breath, before carefully climbing up onto the counter. She crouched down behind the jars, and watched the creepy woman carefully. The woman was busy shoving organs onto what Six really hoped was a fake model. As soon as the woman turned towards the model, Six crept forwards, and went past her, before ducking behind another jar. She watched the woman grab another organ, and turn away. Just as she did, Six immediately made a mad dash for the opening in the wall.

The sound of her running alerted the woman, and Six quickened her pace once she heard a shriek. Heart thumping loudly in her chest and tears forming in the corners of her eyes, she leapt through the opening, and slammed down onto the ground on the other side.
