Monos POV
_________________________________________I almost screwed up big-time... Mono thought with a frown. She cant know about the loop. At least, not yet. What if she hates me for it? I dont think that telling her is a risk that I'm willing to take.
Mono sighed, "Just follow me, okay? And be careful." He then leaped down and landed on top of one of the beds.
"Why so gloomy now?" Six asked. Mono turned to face her again as she jumped down and landed beside him. He merely shrugged.
Trust me, I really wish I could tell you Six. He thought, before turning and jumping over to the next hanging bed that was turning sideways. Clinging onto the bed frame, he started to climb up.
...I cant beleive I forgot about those doors, too. I cant forget stuff like that! I need to be more careful. He scolded himself mentally.
"Mono." Six speaking drew him out of his thoughts, and he paused at the top of the bed before looking down at Six, who happened to be right behind him.
"What the hell is wrong?" She asked sternly. Mono hesitated for a moment, searching for a lie.
"...I...I'm just stressed out. That's all." He finally managed to say. It wasnt a complete lie, but it definitely wasnt the full truth. He turned, and jumped onto the next bed.
Six didnt reply, but Mono could tell that she wasnt buying it. He watched as Six jumped down beside him. She met his gaze for a moment, before turning and walking towards the rope in front of them.
"You're taking forever, I'm leading now." She stated curtly. Mono frowned.
She seems pissed off... He thought. He hesitated for a moment, before following her as she began to climb up. As soon as both he and Six reached the top, they jumped down onto another bed.
"Six?" Mono managed to speak again, despite feeling guilty now.
"What?" Six snapped. Mono flinched, and stared as she turned her back to him and hopped to the next bed. He waited to speak until they crossed over the hanging beds and made it to the nearby window. As soon as he pulled himself through, he grabbed Sixs hand.
"...There is something else that's bothering me, but I.. I cant tell you what it is. At least, not yet. It's just... its complicated. I'm sorry," He managed in a quiet tone.
He heard Six let out a sigh, before she turned to face him. "Its alright, you idiot. Just stop sulking around, okay?"
Mono nodded, and gave her a small smile. Six then turned away to look around the room, and Mono released her hand.
"Theres a elevator at the end of the hall, but I think it's supposed to be opened using-" He started to speak, but stopped as he watched Six pull the fuse from the fuse box nearby. She lifted it up and turned to him as the light above flickered out.
"I got it. I must be, like, 10 times smarter than you if I can figure out how to do things before you can even finish explaining your ideas," Six grinned.
"Yeahhh, no. You're not that smart." Mono said, beginning to grin as well. Six rolled her eyes, and gave him a light shove, before walking towards the closed elevator at the end of the hall.
Mono followed close behind her with a smile lingering on his face. As soon as they reached the end of the hall, Six pushed the fuse into the fuse box, and the elevator doors opened. Without any hesitation, Mono jumped through the elevator doorway, and down onto the roof of the actual elevator. As he did so, he heard Six call out.
