As the doors slid shut and the elevator began to descend, Mono found himself trying to get what had happened off of his mind.
Worrying about it wont do anything at all. I need to focus now. I need to make sure we get out of this hospital without anymore issues, and then...
Mono frowned as he thought back to the Thin Man.
Then I'll have to deal with him. This time, I cant let him take Six. Her being taken away from me is the thing thats causing the loop to repeat. But the question is... how?
Mono was drawn out of his thoughts when the elevator suddenly came to a stop, and the doors slid back open. The hall in front of them was dark, and eerily quiet. Mono reached into his pocket and pulled out the flashlight, before clicking it on.
"Oh, sweet. Dark ominous hallway." Six muttered beside him. Mono managed a small smile. At least Six wasnt worried anymore. That was what mattered right now.
"I thought you'd be used to them by now, raincoat." He replied, putting on a grin.
"Not at all, walnut." Six countered with a snicker. Mono rolled his eyes as his fake grin became more of a genuine one.
He and Six then began to make their way through the dark hall, their footsteps echoing throughout the corridor. As they neared the end of the hall, Mono began noticing more and more plastic hands and arms laying around.
Oh boy. Great. More hands. Love that. Mono thought. He knew exactly what was to come- another face-off with the demon hands.
He and Six turned the corner, and as soon as they did, Mono could hear banging up ahead. He stopped, and stared ahead with a frown. Six stopped beside him, and raised a brow.
"What the hell was that?" She asked. Mono sighed.
"Something tells me we're about to find out," He muttered. "Just, uhm.. stay back, okay? Theres a pipe up ahead that I could probably use just in case."
"Bruh, I dont need constant protection-"
"Shhh."
Mono heard Six mutter something underneath her breath as he approached the end of the hall. To his left, he watched as a pipe that was holding one of the cabinet doors shut slide down onto the ground. Mono turned away and hurried over to the pipe. As he grasped it in his hands and turned back, he watched Six race over to the cabinet and push back on the door, doing her best to hold it shut.
"Whatevers in here wants to get out! Hurry up and move the wooden boards out of the way of the door!" Six yelled over the sound of the hand slamming against the cabinet door.
"I thought I told you to stay-" He was interrupted when a hand crawled out of seemingly nowhere.
Right. Dont get distracted. Theres like... what, just two of them? He reminded himself.
He readied himself, before swinging the pipe up above his hand, and slamming it down on top of the hand with a spine-chilling crunch. The hand fell limp, before scrambling away.
"Dont hit yourself in the leg this time!" Six called over to him. Mono opened his mouth to respond, but the hand raced out of seemingly nowhere again and charged towards him.
He raised the pipe over his head again, and repeated the same action before, once again managing to hit the hand directly. As it scrambled away, Mono heard Six yell again.
"G-go break the wooden boards, you walnut!"
Mono looked back towards her to see her struggling to keep the cabinet door closed.
