Fiona's POV

The schlepped me around for weeks before we landed in America. We were somewhere west I believe. All I know is it was hot and dry. Jonathan said it was somewhere in the 1920's. We walked for ages until we came upon a large grassy field. There were canvas tents and log cabins with lots of people milling about.
Grace glared at me and spun me around to face her while she dug her claws into my shoulder. Barron was gone again -to bird knows where- and now I was with Grace and Jonathan. I missed Esmerelda, James, and Marcus, but I was happy they escaped.
"You need to go get this girl, her name's Ellery." She held up a picture of a girl with an eyepatch, she looked like a pirate sort of. She had short blond hair and a long sleeve stripped shirt with black overalls. I gulped and nodded, maybe she'd recognize me?
"She should be in that tent over there, ok?" Jonathan pointed to a large tent with yellow flowers all over it.
"If you speak, mess up, or just do something we don't like,we'll kill your friends, remember that." I froze, how did she know them?
"They think your dead, you know. All of them except for a boy with bees. It's really pitiful how upset he is, although I'm sure his eyes would still be fine."
I balled up my fist and she smiled.
"Are you sure you want to do that?"
"Grace! Send her off!"
Grace smiled and Jonathan rolled his eyes.
"Today please."
She pushed me into the field. I walked over to the sunflower tent. No one noticed me, they were all running around nervously. I started to sweat. I pulled back the curtain and saw the girl they were talking about. She was in a chair facing a mirror. There was no flooring, just grass. Her bed was the same cream as the canvas and had a dark oak framing that matched her dresser, mirror, and chair.
"Who are you?" She asked. She looked more intrigued then alarmed. I grew a rose with my hand and smiled.
"You's is like me! I never met no one like me before!" She ran up and hugged me. I hugged her back, it had been so long since I've had human contact with anyone who wasn't trying to kill me. Looking at her now, I guessed she was 12 or 13.
I nodded my head towards the field.
"I sure love that field, did you know I grew it myself?" My eyes widened and I smiled.
"You don' talk do ya?"
I shook my head.
"Well thas ok, I talk 'nuff for the both of us."
We linked arms and walked into the field.
"I ain't supposed to leave the field."
I saw Grace and Jonathan hiding in the tall grass. My face started to crumple and I felt like I could cry.
"Aw shucks! It's ok! We can come back later!"
I threw my seeds on the ground and grew them around her ankles.
"Hey! Ain't your mama teach you how to play nice?"
Grace and Jonathan were 3 feet behind her now. She saw their wights eyes and screamed. Grace grabbed her and put a gag in her mouth.
"Ellery! She's gone!" A man yelled.
Then we did too.

Next thing I knew, we were in the present. We were still in the field, but the grass was long dead and brown like straw. I started to panic knowing I'd age forward.
Jonathan yanked me away from Grace and Ellery. I tried to reach out for her but Jonathan hit me. Ellery' gag slipped and she started to cry again.
"I thought we was friends!"
I tried to run to her again but Jonathan kicked me in the stomach.
"Leave her alone!" Ellery cried, she seemed to understand now why I had to do this.
Jonathan tugged at me and I weakly gave in. My energy was drained. We walked out of the forest and a bunch of small trains passed us.
"Watch out for cars!" One woman yelled as she held her child's hand. She was leading him to a bus.
"We're getting on there, next thing we'll be back in the Colorado loop."
I don't know what I was thinking, but I kicked him in his groin and ran on the bus. He groaned and fell to his knees before quickly getting up. He ran down the street and shoved passerby's. Jonathan pounded on the glass doors but the bus started to move anyways. I'll be in Florida soon, there's no way he can hurt anyone that fast, right? The seats were blue and made of bad plastic that hurt my back. The bud lurched forward and my stomach did with it. I gagged.
"Oh sweetie here you go." A woman handed me a white bag and I vomited.
"Are you alright dearie?"
I nodded.
"Are you sick?"
I shook my head.
"Motion sick?"
I nodded.
The woman gave a sympathetic sigh and sat back in her seat. Suddenly there was a sound of screeching metal and the bus flipped over and rolled. Glass and metal scratched my face as everyone but me screamed. I saw a bright light and then hit my head on something soft and squishy, a person. My ears rang and my ribs hurt like the day I jumped. I felt someone drag my body, it was Jonathan.
"Are you stupid?" Jonathan shouted.
"She was afraid she'd age forward, leave her be. She panicked." My blurry vision revealed Barron.
"S-sir."
"You're lucky Micheal was here. We need to leave now, where's Grace?"
Barron patted the partially blood and dirt  covered air, Micheal was a hollow.
"Here." She strode up with a clear plastic bag and a white worm writhing inside it, but no Ellery. I looked back at the bus, people were coming out slowly. While we were walking away I threw some seeds on the ground and grew some roses. Abe always said I was the easiest one to find,
So
Come

me
