* Jumper means sweater*
Third Person POV
The after party took place back at Miss Peregrine's. Sharron catered and much to Hugh's approval, made something other than vegan food, which he hated so far. Everyone was dancing underneath the white tent outside Miss Peregrine put up, she refused to have anyone in the house other than her children. Fiona's hair was coming apart but Hugh didn't care in the slightest. She long ditched the heels Emma begged her to wear. Everyone was having a grand time, even Sharron, who know switched back into his black cloak. The bride and groom whispered sweet nothings into each others ears all night. Tomorrow they would be given the keys to their new home. Sharron and his cousins have been spending all week trying to fix it up as a wedding gift. All they really cared about was being together, nothing really mattered as much to them.
The two were so blissfully unaware of their next painful obstacle,
But that's a story for another day.
Fiona's POV
By the end of the night, everyone the Ymbrynes deemed old enough to drink, we drunk of their ass. Enoch and Horace snuck a bottle of wine and were giggling like school girls. Horace was drinking orange juice to try and help with the bitter taste of the wine. Enoch tried to walk up the stairs and tripped.
"Ah! Me back and me orange June!"
"That's me orange June!"
"You said June!" The two laughed drunkenly. Miss Peregrine and I were bringing everything inside, Hugh was drunk himself, and crying.
"She's just so beautiful! Aw I love you guys so much!" Emma and Jake were trying to get him to calm down but everyone, including me, was laughing too hard.
"Aw man! You guys are just perfect!" Olive mocked. I threw my head back and laughed.
"The rest can wait until morning." Miss Peregrine said dusting her hands on her dress.
We didn't have much to do tomorrow anyways, Sharron already took the tent home, it was mostly just cleaning garage.
"Jake and I cleaned the backyard!" Noor slurred.
"Front yard." Jake whispered.
"Front yard!"
"You are all such a disgrace!" But Miss Peregrine couldn't help from smiling.
"I love all you you, so much."
"Aww!" Noor and Hugh got all teary eyed.
"Now off to bed!"
Hugh's POV
Oh no. Oh no. I'm dying. Fiona played with my hair as I laid across her lap. It was 4 a.m and I'd been vomiting for hours, and probably hours to come. Enoch seemed to be sleeping like a sailor, but Horace and Noor came in and threw up a few times as well. Jake puked just looking at everyone else's vomit, and then the cycle continued. Emma laughed at Noor as she stood in the doorway. Emma had a lot to drink herself but she — like Enoch— could definitely hold her liquor. Finally, when the worst seemed to be over, we went to bed in my room. I rested on Fiona's chest, who was wide awake as she always was when I was sick.
"You better not be sick all day tomorrow."
I groaned, "Our house."
"Mhm."
"Darling, I will be there rain or shine."
"It will be shine, it's a loop."
I laughed.
"Aren't you the talkative one tonight?"
I felt her shrug.
"I'm just happy."
I woke up around noon the next day. My head pounded and I walked hazily around my room. I was still in my tux, only now it looked disheveled and smelled of sweat and vomit. I put on brown slacks and a white jumper. Fiona was downstairs making eggs. She kissed my cheek as I peaked in the ice box. One solitary ice cube was in the middle, just taunting me.
"Here's your eggs."
"Thanks darling, you didn't have to."
"We're leaving in an hour." She kissed my cheek again. I waiting until Fiona was around the corner to dump my eggs in the trash. I love Fiona, but she could not cook.
"I saw that." Claire whined.
"Fiona made them."
"Oh, never mind."
I laughed as Claire ran to find Olive.
"Oliveeee!"
I winced, "Claire, inside voice please."
She huffed and ran off again. I trudged up the stairs and into the bathroom to take a shower. Instead Noor was sleeping in the bathtub. I turned the faucet on and the cold water hit her dark skin.
"Fuck you!" Noor jumped out and tried to grab my towel but I held on tight.
"He's married." Jake laughed from the doorframe.
"You're an ass when your hungover!"
I frowned.
"You know how you feel like shit right now?"
"Yes."
"It's called a hangover."
"Oh."
Fiona's POV
Hugh was barley making it, but he persevered. We walked aimlessly down the stony path hoping we followed Miss Peregrine's directions properly. Then we saw it. It was a small one story cobblestone cottage it had a 4 food tall high wooden fence with a bird feeder handing from the tree above.
"It's beautiful!"
I ran towards the gate and opened it. Inside the yard were 2 goats and a chicken... wait, really?
"Babbi! Cuio! Mio!" I cried.
"How are you guys here?" Hugh asked. He had his hands on his hip and was standing wide legged taking in the scenery.
"Your Ymbryne found us, she wanted to check in your peculiar friends."
"The twins? How are they?"
"Strange. At night they wander off and we don't see them until the early morning."
I shudder, I sometimes used to see them standing in the dark hallways at night hand in hand, it frightened me a great bit, I even heard Enoch yell a few times.
"Stop it!" He'd yell, "do your freaky loser stuff somewhere else!" Enoch sounded like most normals.
"Don't miss them too much."
I turned and saw Enoch. I crossed my arms and frowned.
"What are you doing here?" Hugh asked crossly. Enoch shrugged, "I got bored, besides I wanted to check your knew place out." He whistled, "It's nice. Maybe I should get married."
Hugh laughed.
"Who's going to marry you?"
Enoch grumbled.
"Children," Miss Peregrine cleared her throat, "Fiona, Hugh." Miss Peregrine was opening the gate we entered.
"It's beautiful!"
"Go inside." She smiled. Enoch pulled off his jumper and tied it around his waist. He had on one of Jake's white tank tops.
"It's bloody hot out here!"
Miss Peregrine scowled at him.
"Go back to the house, Mr. O'Connor."
Enoch rolled his eyes but lucky for him, Miss Peregrine didn't see it.
"Catch you later." I frowned at him.
"It means I'll see you for dinner." I nodded.
"All this American speak." Miss Peregrine murmured. She opened the door.
The house had white cross windows a burnt orange colored couch in the living room. There was a wood burning fireplace. Above it was a picture of Hugh and I's wedding— which I didn't even know we had. There were two bedrooms. The bigger one didn't have any bed sheets yet, but I was glad that we would be able to pick those out ourselves. The other room was completely empty.
"I hope you like it."
"I love it."
