Ahhhh! I'm so exited!!! Also this is how I see Sunny. I just think he's so cute.

Fiona's POV
Training with Sunny has been.... interesting. Thank the birds that besides the few rugs we have, that we don't have any carpet.
"Bad boy!" Hugh disciplined from the other room. Sunny whimpered and ran by my feet. I patted the space on the bed next to me and he wound up his little body and jumped next to me.
"He ate another pair of shoes!" Hugh called. I smiled and tapped his nose,
"You're lucky your mommy is so nice and never gets you in trouble." Sunny licked my face.
"Fee, we talked about this." Hugh whined in the doorway, "We need to be a united front."
"I know but look at that little face!" Sunny licked his lips are barked. Hugh uncrossed his arms and smiled, "Fine, but I need a little help eventually."
"Eventually?"
"Let me rephrase that, I just mean after the baby comes, you can't be so..."
"Nice, caring, loving?"
"Soft."
I laughed and pulled Hugh towards me and kissed him.
"You're too hard to be mad at."
"I know." I laughed.
Hugh kissed my forehead and pulled away.
"Now, are you hungry? Because I've been dreaming of fettuccine Alfredo for about a week." I nodded and patted my side to let Sunny know to come with us.
"We sh-" I interrupted Hugh with a gasp. I felt a sharp cramp.
"Fiona? Is it time?"
"No, just a cramp." Hugh still looked worried.
"Please, I'm starving." I begged. Hugh laughed, "aren't you always?"
I followed him into the kitchen and grabbed the pot.
"Careful, sit down and relax, love." I rolled my eyes playfully and grabbed the lettuce I grew earlier from the ice box and started to chop it for a salad.
"I'm going to grab a tomato."
I nodded and washed the lettuce in the sink. Sunny followed Hugh, I have to build him a doggy door. I gasped again, the red hot pain was back. It felt like a knife. I heard the door shut and stood up straight again. This can't be labor, right? It has to be gas pains, I've had them a lot lately, right?
Hugh broke a pack of noodles into the pot, the thought of noodles soothed my soul. I grabbed the cream and garlic and put it to simmer over the stove. Hugh dumped out the water and put the noodles into the sauce. I finished up the side salad when I felt another pain.
"Fiona," Hugh put his hand on my back.
"I'm fine, it's just a cra-" I gasped again, this one hurt more than before, but subsided quickly.
"I'm fine now, ok?"
Hugh didn't seem convinced but we ate anyways. My leg could be cut off and I'd still eat something these days. Hugh eyes me nervously. He looked and the clock a few times, when he did I dropped a noodle or a tomato for Sunny. Note to self, he is not a fan of tomatoes. Sunny walked by Hugh and sat under his feet.
"Are you feeding the dog?" Hugh asked.
"The dog has a name." I smiled.
"I'm aware, I named him." Hugh laughed.
"But yes, he just looked so hungry!" I laughed. "I've been feeding him over here too."
"Hypocrite!" I laughed. I got up to put our dishes in the sink when I felt that my legs were all wet, my water broke.
"Hugh,"
"Ok ok NOBODY PANIC!" Hugh ran into the other room and grabbed an overnight back. Sunny's tail was wagging like crazy.
"IT'S ALL GOING TO BE FINE!" He shouted. He looked like he was near hysteria.
I started to laugh, "Hugh, you're the only one panicking!"
Hugh stopped and ran his hand through his hair and lifted up his goggles.
"R-right, ok let me just call to make sure everyone can meet us there."
Our plan was to have Sunny go to the house for a few days while we get settled with the baby. I heard Hugh talk on the phone with Millard while I put on some fresh clothes. I waddled out into the kitchen and was about to pet Sunny when I gripped the sink in pain.
"R-really? They won? What was the score?"
"Hugh!"
"Oh right, I-I gotta go, meet us there!" Hugh laughed as he slammed down the phone.
"Alright darling, let's go." Hugh dashed out the door with his jacket and our bag. A moment later the door opened again, "You forgot me?"
"Very sorry, now let's go, we're having a baby!" Hugh squealed.

The hospital was bleak, there were people coughing everywhere(1920-1950 was the prime tuberculosis infection rate). I could tell Hugh wished we had a home birth, but I want a doctor there, no debate. They sat me down in a cool room and slid a needle with water into my veins. Horace knocked on the doorframe. Olive, Claire, and Ann jumped on my bed.
"Baby baby baby!" Ann babbled.
"Can we keep Sunny?"
"Can we get our own puppy?"
The girls started to talk a million miles an hour.
"Children, get down." Miss Peregrine ordered. She walked over and kissed my forehead. I saw an invisible force put on a jacket, Millard.
Noor hugged me and handed me a soft hair tie
"It's a scrunchy, it's good for your curls." I nodded and smiled. Emma patted my shoulder gently, "do you need anything?" I shook my head, Hugh was already on the hunt for water.
"How attached are you to Sunny?" Enoch asked mischievously. I shot him a look that could kill, "Ok ok." Enoch put his hands up in defeat.
"My Bird, a baby! Today?" Bronwyn sobbed, she always cried when she was happy.
"Hello, I'm Doctor Smith."
"Hullo." Olive waved. Millard hid behind Miss Peregrine as he started to strip.

Ahhh! Baby soon! What's a name y'all have in mind?
