You want to fix me so bad
Yet you can't handle hearing my stories
You say you love my everything
Yet you can't understand my darkness
You say you'd never hurt me
Yet turn around and do just that
You claim you're only joking
Yet you know why it effects me
You say I had nothing before you
Yet I had it all
I had me
Imperfect but whole
Challenging life in a new freedom
Despite the familiar loneliness
You tell me I'm loved at your home
As if my own didn't even care
You tell me you'd want to die without me
As if I should bear the weight of your life
On top of the already heavy burden
Of my own
