Hiding in plain sight
A soul blending into a crowd
Reaching out — crying aloud
Screaming so loud but no one else hears a soundBreaking from existence
A soul seeping into the endlessness of eternityUndeservedly
Lonely — I can see the pain in your dull eyes
Souls need ties
To keep from flying away
So stayYou let their words take you — break you
Tie a string around your neck
So I'll tell you:
I see the light in your chestYour story isn't over yet
Even a ghost can have something
Worthy enough to protect
