A/N: Sorry I haven't updated in a few days, I've been so busy with school and I went to a concert!!!!! IT WAS AMAZING OKAY BEST DAY EVER. I almost froze to death while waiting outside BUT IT WAS WORTH IT.
Taissa's P.O.V.
I looked into Violet's records online and found her previous address, which I assume is where our father lives. Even though Violet and I haven't done a DNA test we're all positive she and I are siblings. After all, we look almost exactly alike.
I pull up to the address despite everyone's commands not to go. I hope this is the right address. The place is decent looking; an average sized home, dirty and unkempt on the exterior, but seems rather new. I tuck my keys in my satchel and walk to the door. I'm wearing leggings, a Misfits sweater, and black combat boots. I bang on the door and wait for an answer. Three minutes later, an older looking male with too much scruff opens the door. He does a double take while yawning. "Z-Violet?"
"Uhhh, no. My name is Taissa and, well, you see.. I'm your daughter."
"Bull shit, I didn't have any other children."
"Ye-yes you did. I mean look at me! I look just like Violet!"
"How do you know her real name?!" He whisper-yells.
"Long story. Anyways, I looked into your past and saw you and Viven had a child the same day I was born and gave it up for adoption. AND went to the very hospital I was at. No way it's a coincident. I know you're my father, Ben."
He looks around then pulls me inside. "How do you know my real name?!"
I raise an eyebrow; "it's not that hard once I figured out Violets identity. I don't even know your fake name."
"Mallory Benson" he mumbles.
I snicker, "that's a girls name" under my breath.
"So what do you want? Money? Home? Food? Revenge?"
"No, I want a relationship. Also, I want to know why?"
"Wait... How come you don't want money? All kids your age are broke." He then looks me up and down once again but stops at my hand. "Ooooh, you have a rich husband don't you?"
"He takes care of me."
I see something in his eyes, something terrifying, for a second but then it goes away. "That's great!" He says while embracing me in a hug. "I'm so sorry for what I did, baby. We were so young, so broke, so immature. We weren't ready for you. I'm so glad you turned out great. I hope your family was good to you."
I feel tears run down my face and I take a deep breath. I've always felt odd about my parents because they weren't a thing like me. "Thank you," I pause, "dad. I forgive you. I wish mom was here too." I sniffle. I'll never get to meet her.
"Come on, let me get you something to drink." He cooes and I take a seat on the couch.
Evan's P.O.V.
I call Taissa on my lunch break but it goes straight to voice mail. She must be working on her poetry. I dial Tate's number but remember he has class now. Instead I text Violet, asking if she wants to go to dinner all four of us. She responds with a yes and I tell her to pick the place. I go back to scarfing down the homemade lunch made by Taissa. Everyday she writes me little poems on a napkin imitating the time I wrote her one. Today's was just as beautiful:
the dark road I travelled
was so different
from his enlightened path
yet we still meet aligned
in sharing
our destiny
