"Frank is gonna be so pissed!"

Half-panicked, I made my way back through the corn, towards three generators fairly close together.

Before I made it through the fields, the middle generator clinked on, and the flood lights above it shined brightly.

There's the old man, or Bill was it?
Ok, time to Frenzy.

I took off after the man as he ran towards a large farming machine. Just like Kate, he kept glancing behind him during the chase. Then he did something quite bewildering.

He began running in tight little clockwise circles, like a dog chasing its' own tail. When I lunged, he sprinted off towards the left causing me to miss by a mile.

Instead, I hit the hard metal of the farming equipment, absolutely wrecking my knuckles. The Frenzy ended at the same time, due to the missed attack, adding to the pain.

"Too slow!" The old man hollered.

I grunted and spun, trying to keep my eyes on Bill, but he was already out of sight. Only faint scratch marks and embarrassment remained.

Pretty limber for an elderly person..

"Hey! Up here!" A voice called.

On top of the giant farm machine was Miss Bloody Clothes.

"I'm Feng, what's your name?" She asked with a grin.

I wasn't there to make small talk. I started my way up the ramp to get to the top of the machine as she hopped over a ledge, maintaining distance between us.

"There's no way you'll catch me, let's just talk for a minute!"

I could hear amusement in her voice. My cheeks flushed and luckily she couldn't see.

Damnit! This is bad!

I was way outclassed and we both knew it.

I tried to enter into another Frenzy so I could leap the ledge faster, but my body wasn't ready yet, it refused to run.

As I fumbled over and lept off the machine, Feng was already back on top of it, ready to hop the ledge again, running me in a loop.

"Wait! I know, let's make a deal." She said. "I'll let you hook me in exchange for a chat."

Discordance activated. I knew it was only a matter of seconds before the final generator was completed.

This deal suddenly seemed pretty good.

"Fine." I said, bitterly. "What is it?"

"Well, first come up here." Feng instructed.

She told me that instead of downing her with my weapon, I could just grab her as she tried to leap over the ledge.

I caught her in the middle of her jump and slung her over my shoulder. She didn't wiggle and fight back like Kate had.

"I know who are." She told me as I walked down off the machine. "You're the survivor that went missing a month ago, right?"

I wasn't too surprised someone figured it out, guess it wasn't exactly a secret.

"That's me." I said.

"So what happened? How did you switch roles like that? Oh, don't put me on this hook, go a little further."

Great. Now I'm taking orders from the survivors?

"Ok..." I said.

*Ca-ching!*

The final generator was completed. The trial was a lot harder than I thought it would be.
