It's cold. It's the middle of Autumn, and as I wait patiently on my porch, the air bites at my skin.

Tsukishima had a really big game today, and I don't know how it went. I wasn't able to find anyone streaming it online, and he hasn't texted me so far.

If I remember correctly, it was against some team they've lost to before. Aoba something. He's been training a lot outside of practice, which surprised me.

He's been getting really busy, yet he still makes time for me. I feel bad. I don't have any club actives or sports that I do, and I think because of that, he feels like he should pay attention to me.

I mean, he should. But I don't want to burden him while he may be already stressed out.

He still helps me in my Japanese. Maybe I should get a real tutor instead. Hmm, but I'm doing fine now. Should I also start a sport? Maybe next year I'll try out for something.

A familiar face comes into sight, though his expression holds no emotion so I can't tell whether or not he won. I rush down the concrete stairs and down the driveway before he can even move much. I stop in front of him, my eyes bright and hopeful.

"So?" I ask. "Did you-" He pulls me to him and crashes his lips against mine.

I feel him smile into the kiss and I wrap my arms around him. This is definitely a celebratory kiss.

He pulls away a second later and rushes me into my home. The warmth of the heater hits our skin and I sigh.

"Are you hungry? Earlier I made some miso soup and some other dishes for my parents. I can heat some up, or we can order something?" I ask when we both slip off our shoes.

"I want to eat what my beautiful girlfriend made." He wraps his arm around me, smiling.

He's...being very kind. I mean, he's always kind, but I can tell he's in a really good mood right now. I'm glad.

We both move away from the front of the house and I have him sit at the table as I heat up his food. Once I place all the dishes in front of him he grabs me and pulls me into his lap.

"You sit here." He mumbles. "Thank you for the meal."

He snakes one arm around my waist, his hand resting on my lower stomach as he begins to eat.

"I really like your hair. It's pretty." He hums.

"Kageyama's sister did it. I didn't even know they were related when I booked with her. We ended up on the topic of school and that's how I found out." I say and he makes a small, disgusted noise.

I laugh a little, leaning back into him.

"I heard that Kageyama-Kun doesn't speak highly of you. Shouldn't you guys try to get along if you're on the same team?" I ask but he ignores me.

I turn back to look at him and he refuses to meet my eyes. A small chuckle leaves my lips, he's such a kid.

He soon finishes eating, and it surprises me when I see that he's eaten it all. I stand up from his lap, gather all the dishes and go to the kitchen to clean them.

As I'm drying them, Tsukishima comes in and wraps his arms around me from behind.

"Let's go to the park." He says, resting his chin on top of my head.

"Now?" I ask and I feel him nod.

"There are a lot of stars out tonight."

After a moment I agree, first going to change into warmer clothes and grabbing a blanket for us to sit on just in case. Tsukishima took the blanket from me and carried it in one hand as we walked, using his other hand to hold mine.

Sometimes, when I'm with Tsukishima, I feel like the world is shifting to be in our favor. It feels like even God is cheering for us.

I feel this immense amount of feelings for him- and I don't ever want it to disappear. He's the remedy to all my problems.

I really, really like him.

Once we arrive at the park, he takes me up this small hill he claims gives you a better view. I lay out the blanket and we both sit down. Tsukishima immediately pulls me to sit in between his legs though, my back pressing against his chest.

We look up at the stars that seem to shine bright just for us, and he starts to go on and on about them. He points out different constellations and fills me up with knowledge that I'll repeat over and over again in my head so I don't forget.

By the time he's done, we're laid on our backs with me tucked into his side, my head resting on the inside of his arm that he laid out for me, a hand on his chest as I look up.

He takes a deep breath, his next words spoken carefully and full of an emotion I can't quite grasp.

"Tsuki ga kirei desu ne?"
(The moon is beautiful, isn't it?)

My eyes trail over to the big rock in the sky and I hum.

"Yeah. It's bright right now." I say, though I can't help but feel like I'm missing something.

I don't see his face fall, or the way his hands are trembling right now because it took all the courage he had to even say those 5 words- all for me to not understand.

"God-" He cuts himself off, and I can hear him slightly choke on his words. He takes a deep breath, sighing afterwards. "I shouldn't have expected you to get that." He says lowly and a frown comes over my face.

I turn my head to look up at him, but he's looking away so I can't see what expression he's making.

I blink a few times, feeling guilty for some reason. I turn my body, burying my head into his side and tangling our legs together.

"I'm sorry, I don't know what I missed." I apologize, clutching the fabric of his shirt. "But, thank you for taking me here tonight. I'm really grateful for the time we get to spend together. I'll always cherish the moments like these."

He doesn't say anything for a few minutes, so we just lay there until he sits up, pulling me into his lap and wrapping his arms tightly around me, burying his face in my shoulder.

I wrap my legs around his waist to get more comfortable and smile, resting my head on his shoulder as well.

It's the moments like this...the days where (most) things go right, the days that end with us in each other's arms...

It's the moments like this that allow me to believe that we are infinite.

(Short, cute chapter this time hehe
