2 years later"Geez- this is such a good change of weather from Brazil." Tsukishima sighs, walking out into the backyard. "So this is LA weather huh?"
"We just came at a good time. It gets even hotter than it was in Brazil. The hottest I've experienced in California is 118° Fahrenheit." I laugh, Tsukishima staring at me in shock as I get into the pool.
It's towards the end of March, and Tsukishima and I decided to take a trip to California.
Hinata had invited us as well as Kageyama to Brazil, since he's going to be staying there for a while to play beach volleyball. Everyone was worried about him, despite the front the two other boys put on, which lead Hinata to invite us out to help explore the country with him a little. We stayed for about two weeks with him before Tsukishima and I left to visit the country I once called home.
We had a lot of fun there. I dabbled in beach volleyball, and was not too bad due to the skills I've acquired these past few years. Though, it really sucks trying to move in the sand. We all struggled with that factor, and laughed about how much our skills had dropped.
Yamaguchi is off doing an internship already before college starts, so he was unfortunately unable to come with us on our trip.
"Come get in." I beckon to my boyfriend who's looking at the water wearily.
"It's 73°, the water isn't cold?" He asks and I shake my head.
"You can control the temperature of the water, so I made it a little warm." I smile.
"Geez. You Americans can do anything." He laughs, climbing down the steps and swimming over to me.
Tsukishima and I have been doing really well in our relationship.
We got into a total of 3 arguments over the 3 years we've been dating, and had some other miscommunications, but nothing we can count as an argument.
The two of us don't argue often at all. We've learned each other's routines and personality down to the bone, so we know how to avoid conflict and misunderstandings.
However, sometimes insecurities and stubbornness can cause trouble. But at the end of the day, we talk everything out and don't let each other go home until we're happy again. We haven't forgotten our rule.
"I can't believe we're finally out of high school!" I groan, throwing my hands up in celebration.
"Only to go to school for 4 more years next month." Tsukishima laughs and I scrunch my face up.
"Don't remind me." I whine, moving to the shallow end so I can reach the floor.
"It's not like you're bad at studying. You don't like school?" Tsukishima swims back over to me, standing up.
A small grin takes over my face as he absolutely towers over me.
Tsukishima has capped at 6'4, just barely missing 6'5. And because he began to take volleyball more seriously and even picked up some training outside of school, he's bulked up pretty well.
Seeing him get fit had also inspired me to start working out, and together we started spending part of our days at the gym or even just doing our own workouts at each other's houses.
"Stop looking at me like that." Tsukishima mumbles, and my grin only grows.
"Like what?" I question, reaching up and putting my hands on his shoulders.
"Like you're about to attack me." He rolls his eyes.
I burst out laughing, shrugging once I'm finished.
