"Ekin, Ena, and Eva." Ena says out loud. "We are literally so good for each other. All of our names start with E and are simple as hell. Ekkun, Ecchan and Ecchan. We can rule the world together."
Ekin and I look over at each other for a second and blink.
"I don't think you did that corr-"
"I don't care. Leave me alone." She sprawls out on the bed with her head in my lap and her legs on her brothers'.
"Finals are really getting to you huh?" Ekin laughs.
"Shut up college dropout!"
"I am a veteran! I saved the United States!"
"Fuck the United States. Ever hear of Attack on Pearl Harbor??"
"Are you fucking stupid?! The Japanese were the one who did the bombing in that attack! And you wanna talk about me being a college drop out? I'm still smarter than you!"
If I were in a movie I'd look at the camera right about now and talk about how they do this all the time.
But theres no camera. And this is a Wattpad book.
But they really do do this all the time. They're literally so close with one another since they're the same age, but they fight at the most random moments and about some of the most random things.
Since Ena had sat up to argue, I grab my textbook and move against the headboard and cross my legs as I begin studying.
To be quite frank, I don't want to graduate yet. I'll have more responsibility at work and even though that's what I've been training for, for the past 3 years, I don't feel like I'm ready.
The business world is scary and if you don't play your cards right you can find yourself at the bottom of the ladder.
"Okayyyyy." I whine. "Stop arguing with each other. We don't have time for that right now." And it's annoying, but I can't say that straight up.
"Yes, yes. Sorry." Ekin laughs. "Hey, it's pretty late now. Won't Tsukishima-Kun start worrying about you?"
I look at my phone and my eyes widen when I see it's almost midnight. I completely lost track of time.
But he hasn't texted me anything. That's weird.
"Mm. I better get going. See you guys tomorrow or something!" I smile, standing from the bed and giving them hugs before they walk me out.
Maybe Kei fell asleep. He always texts me when I go out and asks when I'm coming home.
Or maybe he's not even home himself. But still...he'd text me.
As I make the 20 minute drive back to our house I run a million scenarios through my head- completely overthinking. When I pull into the driveway I see his car is here. He probably just fell asleep then.
I turn my car off and let myself in the house, excited to see him. But as soon as I walk in, something feels off. Tadashi's keys and coat are missing from the coat rack and key ring. He's still out this late without Kei? I guess so, since I didn't see his car outside.
I slip off my jacket and hang it up along with my keys.
"I'm home." I call out, not hearing a response but hearing someone moving around upstairs.
I hum as I make my way up, going straight to my room.
"Kei?" I call out when I walk in, my eyes widening a bit when I see some things are messy.
Was he looking for something?
My eyes fall back on him who's now facing me with his fists clenched.
"When the hell were you going to tell me Yamaguchi confessed to you?" He asks slowly, his voice low and holding a tone he's never used with me before.
