I ate my breakfast quickly, headed to my bedroom and picked up the guitar with shaking hands. I opened my small laptop and searched "guitar tutorial" and just like expected, the links were all very confusing. I didn't even know how to hold it properly and these people online were telling me to this and that chord. So I proceeded to do something more important, name the guitar. Obviously, she had to have a name, and yes, it was a she. I thought out loud.

"Michelle? Joan? Hmm.... Maria?"

My head was spinning around itself. All the names were good but they just didn't mean anything. I wanted something with a meaning, something that inspired me.

"If only I could name it Luka ahah..." I joked. But then I thought, why not? Well not Luka of course, that would be too obvious and a male name. So, I just had to find a female name equivalent to Luka.

"Lucia...? LUCY!" I smiled brightly looking at the guitar. "It's perfect! It's cute and simple and it fits her perfectly. Lucy it is!"

"You are so weird" I looked up to see my sister spying on me from the door. I shushed her and hugged my beautiful Lucy. She rolled her eyes and left.

Morning went by flying and when I looked at the clock, it was almost time for band practice. I grabbed my ukelele bag but before leaving the room I stopped. I felt Lucy stare at me from behind. I couldn't leave her, she was a new addition to the family, I had celebrate!! I put my ukelele down and picked up the big shiny guitar, ready to show it off to my friends.

Walking to Juleka and Luka's house was a nightmare. I held Lucy close to me afraid of any possible disaster that could happen. I shielded her with my arms from even the weakest wind. Once I finally got to their house, I sighed in relief.

"Hi!" I waved to everyone. They turned to me and ran in my direction, it was like a tsunami heading my way.

"Y/n! Who is this?!" Ivan and the others stared with sparks in their eyes.

"That is one sweet guitar for sure" Nino said after whistling in approval.

"I can see myself in it!" Rose crouched and looked at the polished surface of the wood.

I laughed and backed away a bit,  afraid of them accidentally damaging it.

"My dad gave it to me today. In fact, it's officially been one month since I moved here" I smiled at everyone proudly. My friends cheered and congratulated me.

"Shall we celebrate it then?" Luka picked his bass and played a small tune, signalling the others to get in position.

"Yes" Juleka hurried to pick up her own guitar and pick. Ivan followed her.

"Rose!" Ivan called, snapping her back to reality. Until then she had been staring at her own reflection.

"Sorry!" She jumped and ran to the stage, grabbing the microphone. "THIS ONE IS FOR OUR GREAT FRIEND Y/N! ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!" They all started playing as soon as the last words left her mouth. Me and the rest of the spectators sat in the sofa and cheered for them. Maybe it was just because I was feeling really happy but it felt as if they were playing with more emotion and energy than ever. Rose bounced her head back and forth while Juleka smiled with eyes closed, feeling the music, back to back with Luka who smirked and strummed his instrument with amazing talent and technique. Ivan hit the drums like they were alive while shouting random things at times.

When they finished, we all got up and applauded. It had been one of their best performances for sure.

"Sooo... Y/n. Your turn to play something!" Rose said on the microphone making everyone look at me.

"Hmmm actually I don't know how to play it" I said quietly while scratching my head embarrassed.

"Luka could teach you." Juleka replied quickly.

We all looked at her surprised. From her tone of voice it was like she had been keeping that inside for a while.

"Yeah, he's a great teacher!" Marinette smiled. The others agreed.

"It's okay, I don't wanna bother. Luka already has Marinette to teach, I'd be too much."

"Don't worry about it. I have time for another student." Luka came closer to me smiling and pat me on the head.

"Oh... Hum... Then okay" I looked down a bit red.

"We have to fix up a schedule. I'll text you when I'm free." Luka took out his phone.

"Sure... Wait, do you have my number?" I asked confused, I couldn't remember ever trading numbers with him.

"Yeah, Juleka gave it to me. Sorry, I should have told you" He chuckled.

"Great, text me whenever then."

After that quick exchange of words, he left with Marinette for the usual classes. I stayed talking with the rest about my experience in Paris so far. We shared stories about vacations and different countries. They shared their first impressions of me and I did of them.

"What about me??" Rose sat at the edge of her seat staring at me.

"Right from the beginning I felt that you were very nice and cute." I smiled to her. She giggled back.

"A-and me? What did you think of me?" Juleka asked with her quiet voice, avoiding eye contact.

"I remember seeing you for the first time and thinking how cool you looked. Your dyed hair caught my eye right away. And then when we spoke and you were so nice and interesting!" I spoke honestly while she grew red with each word. "Thanks again for helping with the difficult words in class"

"I-It's okay!" She managed to say from behind her curtains of hair.

"Juleka is so cool isn't she? I love her fashion style!" Rose hugged the tall girl next to her tightly.

"And she's so pretty! Marinette often uses her as a model." Alya added smiling.

Juleka was as red as a tomato. She struggled to talk as we all complimented her, one by one. She hid her face in her hands making us laugh.

"If we say more she might explode" Nino laughed looking at her. We all laughed as well, looking at the embarrassed mess in front of us.

"Thanks... You are too nice..." She finally spoke. We all shook our heads, she refused to accept that what we were saying was true.

The conversation carried on. Rose was telling some crazy story while Alya and Nino played games on their phones. Juleka however seemed like she was keeping something to herself. I noticed her fidgety legs and looked at her. When she met my eyes she moved in her seat and tried acting normal.

"And just like that I was riding the flying tiger away from the candy explosion! Best dream ever" Rose sank in her seat satisfied with her story.

"I wish I had dreams like that" Nino commented without looking away from his phone.

"What about Luka?" Juleka suddenly spoke.

"What?" Rose looked at her confused.

"What was your first impression of Luka?" She looked at me. I stopped, caught off guard.

"Oh, Luka well, let me think I-" I stuttered through my words. The mental image of him, drenched while walking up the stairs and smiling at me in that dammed rainy day at school played again and again. "I-I guess I thought he looked hum... Chill and, and hmm..."

My mind wanted to me to say beautiful, handsome, charming and all the other things he was but I knew that I had to control myself and not expose my crush right there and then.

"Normal. Just a normal first impression." I finally concluded.

Juleka didn't look very convinced. Her reactions were leaving me confused to say the least, but I knew that wasn't the right moment to question her about it.
