~earlier that day~

Fiona

It had been almost a month since Adrien and I had broken up and it hasn't been easy. I could barely face him without wanting to cry, let alone work side by side with him. Do you know how hard it is to get over a breakup when you are forced to see your ex every day?

But I have to remain professional.

I look out of the car window, seeing the school building slowly approaching in front of me. I started going to this school after Adrien and I first started dating. The Agreste's thought it would be good for me if I went to the same school as the twins which I didn't protest at the time. I much preferred getting to physically go to school instead of being homeschooled again. On my first day,  Adrien introduced me to all his friends and I slowly became a part of the group. Or well, I was a part of the group until Adrien and I broke up.

"Miss Lawrence. We have arrived"

The driver spoke, extending his hand out for me to take. I smiled, taking his hand and getting out of the car. I walked towards the school entrance, quickly being faced with every student gathered with their friend group around the courtyard.

"Great.."

I mumbled under my breath, keeping my head down low as I maneuvered my way around the crowds. After making it to my classroom, I opened the classroom door to peek inside. The classroom was always dark and empty in the morning, which made it the perfect place to rest my eyes some more before the day officially started. After inspecting the area, I made my way to my assigned seat, setting my bag down on the table and laying my arms on top of my bag to set my head down on.

"This is a classroom, Fiona. Sleep on your own time."

Just as I was about to close my eyes, the lights flickered on.  I lifted my head off the desk and scoffed at the sight of Felix standing over me.

"Shut up, Felix."

Felix rolled his eyes, slinging off his leather messenger bag and setting it onto the ground as he took his seat. I slumped into the back of my seat and pushed his seat forward with my foot.

"Hey!"

He shouted, scooting his seatback to its initial position.

"You're in my bubble."

I said in an annoyingly high pitch tone.

"Screw your bubble."

He snapped, rolling his eyes at me and shifting his body towards the front of the classroom.

Now that I think about it Felix is my only other friend if that's what I should even call it. I'm probably his only friend too. I know for a fact, I annoy Felix with my antics. This is why we are always bickering with one another, we always know how to get on each other's nerves.

But the thing about Felix is that it's really easy to annoy him and make him completely despise you. Luckily he doesn't hate me, or at least I don't think he does. You can never really know with Felix. All I know is that we are somewhat "friends".

The final bell had just rung and more and more students started piling into the classroom. The chatters in the classroom grew intensely as they all started to take their seats. I fidgeted with my pencil as I watched each student walk into the classroom. My fingers stopped twirling my pencil when I saw Adrien separate from his friends and head to his seat.

"Fiona. Stop staring at my brother. It's creepy."

I heard Felix cough out in front of me. I frowned and leaned over to fling my pencil at the back of his head.
