Just then, a group of chattering voices burst through the doors, all racing towards the girls.
"Congratulations! You did so well! Yay Marinette and Fiona. Absolutely gorgeous."
It wasn't before long before the backstage area was now filled to the brink with friends and family members including both Marinette's parents, Alya, Nino and Chole. As she looked around, she noticed that something was off but she couldn't pinpoint what exactly.
Why do I feel like this?
Fiona slowly removed herself away from the group, not wanting to steal any more of Marinette spotlight but also feeling a sense of anxiety rush over her. She looked around the room, looking for an out before she realized she was still in her robe.
Fiona grabbed her duffel bag sitting in the corner of the room and darted towards the bathroom. She opened the stall door and ruffled through her bag for whatever clothes she threw in this morning. She pulled out a denim mini skirt and a lace tank top, which she changed into immediately, leaving her previously done makeup and hair untouched. As Fiona was approaching the bathroom door, she caught of glimpse of herself in the mirror. She stared back at her reflection, something felt off.
"Fiona!"
Fiona could hear her name being called out in the distance, shaking her hands dry she exited the bathroom and headed towards the brightly centered backstage area, where all the chatter was still going on.
"You looked incredibly beautiful tonight."
A voice called out from behind. Fiona spun around, filling expecting the certain blonde hair guy with endless compliments. But was startled when she was met with a certain blonde-haired guy.
Adrien?
Fiona blushed, feeling embarrassed that she assumed that it was Adrien. Felix's face turned sour upon hearing his brothers name being called out.
She didn't mean to call him by the wrong name, she is able to distinguish Felix and Adrien pretty easily. But today, her mind was pre-occupied and subconsciously she might've just happen to think about Adrien.Fiona watched Felix turned his head away from her, feeling sorry for the mistake she had caused. With no hesitation, she immediately grabbed his hand, pulling his direction towards her, noticing that Felix looked different.
"Felix. I—"
But before Fiona could finish her sentence, Marinette had just called out Fiona's name.
"Fiona! Come over here!"
Fiona looked over at her friend, who was now waving her down with the biggest smile on her face. She looked down at Felix's hand once more, feeling the warmth of her hands against his cold palms before letting go. The two exchanged glances before Fiona headed towards Marinette and the rest of her friends. She couldn't help but look in her peripheral, seeing Felix still standing there stuck in time before hearing her name once again.
Wait did he just call me beautiful?.
"Fiona! I don't know how you do it. The whole time I was on the edge of my seat as you strutted down the runway!"
Chole exclaimed, linking her arms with Fiona as soon as she entered the group.
"Thanks Chole! But that was all Marinette. The dress was stunning!"
