I flinched slightly when my body grazed past a rock

I flinched slightly when my body grazed past a rock. Even though, Namjoon's torch gave out light just enough to keep walking without, it was still too dark. Every shadow seemed to move, every sound seemed to loud. Even my own breaths seemed like their were echoing loudly against the walls. I know that we weren't too deep into the tunnel, but it still felt as if we had been walking for hours. I heard the soft sound of trickling water, and the felt a cool breeze current. Probably from the mouth of the tunnel we had entered from. In the dark, and after being chased by those creatures, paranoia had settled in. My brain was trying to make me see and feel things that I know aren't there. But it was working. I could feel myself being pushed towards the edge. To the point where everything seemed to be messing with my mind. Even the sound of my own heart beat.

In the dampness of the tunnel, I felt a bead of sweat trickle down the back of my neck. Making a shiver run up my spine when it rolled down my back. My eyes blurred in and out as it tried to focus in the darkness. To see the shadows and and outlines.

The ground was wet, and just a little slippery. We have to be careful to make sure we didn't trip. As we were walking, I faltered in my steps smelling a musky scent. And I realized, that the tunnel had widened further. Ay first, I didn't think anything of it, until I heard a clicking sound. My eyes widen, heart beat rising as I realized what the source might be. Immediately tapped on Taehyung's and Jimin's wrist. Both of them came to an abrupt stop. I felt a tug at first when Namjoon didn't stop, but soon after all seven of us were in one place. I felt Jimin lean in towards me, but before he had the chance to say anything, I tapped on his wrist twice.

I felt him freeze after the signal. I didn't know how long it was going to take Jungkook to check everything, but I had to wait. Even though, every cell in my body was asking me to run. A few seconds later, I felt presence of someone in front of me. At first, I thought it must be Taehyung but then I realized, he was standing next to me. My eyes widen in terror when I felt a breath on on my forehead. And then something wet and thick fell down on the head.

Immediately I screwed my eyes shut, and scrunched up my face. Biting on my lips desperately to make sure I don't let out even the faintest of the squeaks.

It's right above me....

I almost yelled out loud when I felt it move, but just as I moved my mouth I felt someone clam their hand over my mouth tightly. I flinched when I heard the click come from above me. Sheer fear bubbled inside of me, rising up to my throat. My breaths shallow and quick. My heart was beating harshly against my chest as we waited for the thing to move or attack.

It's clicking sound were like the tick tock of a time bomb. Waiting to explode in my face. If it realized we were present, I would be dead before I even had the chance to run. And knowing that was making me panic even more. Making it harder for me to resist the urge to turn the other way around and run from this place.

But I knew doing that would only attract more attention from these things. And there would be no way I can ever get out of this place if I panicked. I had to stay clam. For my own life's sake, and for the sake of the others.

After what felt like hours, I felt the grip of the hand on my mouth loosen and let go. Glancing behind, in the dim light, I realized it was Yoongi. The again after some time, Jungkook's barely audible whisper was heard. But the words faded away before it could reach me. But when I felt Taehyung take my hand and draw a line on my wrist, I realized it was now okay to continue walking. I passed the signal onto Jimin, before slowly walking behind Taehyung.

I bit my lip harshly, almost drawing blood when I stepped on a loose rock. Cause it to roll to the side and make clanking sounds. No one had to signal to make all of us stop walking. I gulped, closing my eyes and trying to even my breaths. Trying to calm my heart, if possible.

A screech echoed in the tunnels, making my blood run cold in my veins. But the sound was from near us, or even in the direction we were in. It was one of those things for sure, but we were unlikely to run into it any time soon.

But even then, we waited and waited till we got the signal to move from Namjoon. From the sound of our footsteps, I realized that the tunnel had gotten even wider, and possibly led to another open space.

After some time, we stopped once again. I quickly passed the signal to Jimin and Yoongi. Then after a minute or so, I felt Taehyung lean in and whisper in a very soft voice, "There's another open space. We need to even more careful while crossing it. There are a few of those creatures on roof, but they all seem to be sleeping."

I pressed my lips together in a thin line and nodded, before leaning over to Jimin. Then, very carefully and quietly, I passed on the message I had received. Feeling the younger tense up before giving me the signal that he understood. After another minute, I felt him draw a line on my wrist, and quickly passed the signal to Taehyung. Once the signal reached all the way up to Namjoon in the front, we started walking.

We couldn't tip toe otherwise the loose chips of the stones and rock will make sound. I bit my tongue when I felt a sharp edge of the a rock under my foot. It didn't draw blood, but a sharp pain still shot up my feet.

Not even a second later, all of us had to stop walking once again when I heard some one in the front slip. The creatures on the roof, groaned lowly at the sound. But it was too dark, and I wasn't sure if they were or not. Every second seemed to be stretched out to hours before we finally got the signal to move once again.

Carefully stepped on the floor, because my life literally depended upon each step. The cavern seemed to extended for so long before I felt the space close in on us as we entered into another tunnel.

I wasn't sure what was happening in the front, but from the hushed voices I assumed something had happened, or they saw something. Probably not dangerous since we didn't get a signal yet. I stayed still and waiting at first, before giving in and walking up ahead to see what it was. Of all the things, I did not expect to broken lights blubs, and other devices and stuff in front of us.

"This tunnel isn't natural..." I heard Jin whisper, "They had work planned here but couldn't finish it. And now it's a perfect living space for those things."

"Glow sticks." I heard Namjoon say as he picked up three stick like objects from the ground. "We need to get moving. If this place is manmade, we won't know what to expect."

Chewing on the inside of my cheeks, I gave a sound of acknowledgement before walking back to my position. Jimin was waiting for me with his hands outstretched, and clasped onto my just as quickly as he felt my presence.

"What happened?" He asked.

I quickly told of about all the things that had been  sprawled on the ground in the front and asked him to careful to not step on the broken pieces of glass. I saw him nod, before he leaned away from me. Probably to pass the message to Yoongi.

As we continued walking, we didn't have to face any other life-threatening danger. Except, we were getting exhausted and my throat was running dry. We did have water, but they were with Jin right now. And I didn't really want us to stop once again. We had taken up quite some time, and we didn't know how much more time we could afford to use before something else happens. We just wanted to get out of this place as quickly as possible. Before the torch battery runs and before another one of those creatures attack us.

Word Count: 1500

I know that the chapters are smaller than I what I usually write. But this is my first time writing OT7 stories in adventure/thriller style and while working with seven different POVs. It's fun, but stressful as well. Like, I'm not sure what kind of content my readers are going to like. But I know that if I continue writing OT7 stories, I'll be able to get better with adventure type genre quick enough.

But anyways, I hope this story has been you worthwhile, since it's coming to an end.
