Jimin smiled as he took the coffee from the worker, muttering a thank. Carefully carrying the tray of seven cups in his hand. He waited till Namjoon paid the cash to the cashier before they both walked out of the café.
"So, how's college?" Namjoon asked.
Jimin groaned, rolling his eyes, "I swear if our professor gives us one more assignment, I'm packing him up and shipping him off."
Namjoon chuckled, "That bad, huh?"
"Oh please, you graduated last year. You can't possibly forget how college life is." Jimin muttered, rolling his eyes once again. They waited at the zebra-crossing. Waiting for the red light to turn green before they crossed over. Their joint apartment in sight. Well, to be exact apartmens. All seven of them contributed together enough money to rent out two apartments for them. It was right opposite to each other. And it was perfect. Some said it was a bit small for seven people, but they managed. For them it was perfect, even.
"Do you still have nightmares from the island?" Namjoon asked as they walked into the apartment building. His voice softening. Jimin gave a tight smile and sighed.
"Yeah, sometimes."
It's been six months since the traumatic month in the sea and on the island. They managed to escape from the lifeboat just as a few of the creatures came bursting into the dock room. Thankfully the lights was enough to hold them off till the life boat was at a safe distance from the island. They managed to contact to main land authorities. Well to be exact, they were just tapping into random radio frequencies. Nothing useful. But it was something. And it was just enough to keep alive the hope of trying again and again.
After two days, the boat ran out of fuel.
But it was okay. They were off the island. That's what they kept reminding themselves.
Eventually they were able to tap into the radio of a fishing boat a few miles away from them. And they were saved.
It took still a couple of weeks before they finally reached Korea. In between they were able to contact their families to let them know that they were alive. And after so long, they finally let themselves break down and cry after hearing the voices of their family members.
Yoongi had cried the most. Even if he doesn't ever accept it. Surprising, Jungkook had kept himself together during. And it was when he saw the others cry, did he break down.
Respective authorities were alerted. They had to change transport in between because the fishing boat wasn't headed to Korea. But it was okay.
After that, things were far from normal. At first they were all admitted in the nearest hospital. Stayed there for a few days while their story was taken by the police, the cruise ship company and media. No body believe their story at first, until of the journalist was intrigued enough to take the story and pull enough strings. They never bothered to find out what happened after that.
