"Kim Taehyung! If you don't walk out of that house, this second, I'm leaving without you!" I yelled while standing in front of the said person's house. I have been waiting for at least fifteen for my best friend, Kim Taehyung. Today was a special day, and because of it even I, ever late Park Jimin, woke up earlier than normal.
I huff a little, tapping my foot impatiently on the ground. I stop hearing loud stops, running down, what I guess, was the staircase. Seconds later, the door practically burst open. I found myself on the ground with a very excited Taehyung on top of me. His boxy smile as bright as ever and his eyes sparkling with excitement.
"My bestie!" He beamed, hugging me.
I couldn't help but chuckle and pat his back. After a moment, I more of less kicked him off me and got up, "Hurry up, we have to leave!"
Taehyung nodded and rushed back into his house to drag out his luggage. As usual he was carrying less. I never understood how he was able to back all his clothes in such a small bagging. On the other hand, I was carrying around a backpack and a suitcase.
My eyes widen a little when I saw Taehyung wear an expensive jacket over his shirt. Even though I was a few feet apart, I could still see the company logo and it was an expensive one. Baffled would be the correct word to describe my condition right now. I had no idea how he was able to afford it. Both of our parent's earned more or less the same. And there was no way Taehyung could have been able to afford the jacket.
"How?" Was the only thing I managed to utter. Enthralled by the design. I gave into the urge to touch the material and feel the softness. And it was just as good as I had expected, if not better.
Taehyung smiled sheepishly, "My mum went to buy it yesterday... so that all the rich kids don't pick on me."
My eyes soften a little. Our parents could afford only as much with get past each day with just enough comfort. Nothing lavish. But Taehyung would often get picked on because he wore old, and worn out clothes. Not because his parents didn't get him new ones. But because he knew how much his parents worked hard, and didn't want to increase their workload.
"Oh, Mum bought one for you as well."
My eyes widen a little hearing that.
One jacket was costly enough. But two was a lot. I stared waving my hand to stop my friend, but he didn't pay any attention and pulled out another brand-new jacket from his bag.
"Here." He said, pushing the jacket into my hand. He glared a little at me to persuade me.
"I can't Tae." I replied, trying to hand the jacket back. Taehyung frowned even more hearing that.
