I checked my belongings one last time to make sure I didn't miss out anything. I didn't really have a good record in carrying around everything that I started with. In most cases, I would forget at least one item. I close my eyes and tried not to scream out in frustration when I realized I forgot to bring my earphones. I try to remember if I had packed it up in my other bag. Quickly, I open up the zipper to the other bag and go through the items. Not there. I try checking one of the smaller bags. Again, nothing.
I sighed, crouching down in front of the bed. I did forget it somewhere. Hopefully, in my house and not in the bus stand.
I looked around the room to see if I had put them down somewhere after entering. But I didn't find anything. I wasn't supposed to. I wasn't even wearing my earphones will boarding the ship.
"At least I have my camer-Do I have my camera?" I murmur under my breath and check inside the bags. I let out a little sound of achievement seeing the camera bag placed carefully inside my suitcase. Now, all I had to do was make sure it didn't break somehow. I swear, I don't do this intentionally. Things just... break when I'm around.
"Okay, okay, okay." I mumble seeing the camera in perfect condition.
My eyes shifted upwards and widen when I saw the sky turning orange. I cursed quietly and started removing my clothes and wear something more comfortable. I wanted to take pictures of the ocean at sunset and take a nap afterwards because I didn't sleep at all last night.
"Ah, hurry, hurry." I tell myself, trying to wear my half pants. The sky was already turning a gorgeous shade of rusty orange. I picked up my camera and diary with a pen before reaching to pick a shirt. I walked towards the door while trying to wear it.
As soon as I opened the door and walked out, I bumped into someone. I panicked a little, struggling to keep in the camera in my hand.
"I'm sorry." I apologize, looking up to see who I walked into. It was kid. Way younger than me. I noticed him looking up and down at me with wide doe eyes. It was a little weird, but I realized I was getting late and didn't say anything.
"I'm sorry, I didn't see where I was going." I hear the kid say quietly as I rush past him. Glancing back to see him looking at me, I yell back 'it's okay'.
I couldn't help but wonder if the kid was by himself or lost. He looked he was. But I shrugged it off. I tried not to bump into someone as I walked up towards the deck. As soon as I out, I smile widely. My eyes traveling across the sky painted in the hues of orange, red and pink. The sea perfectly catching the colors and reflecting it. There was a gently breeze that carried the waves with it. I walked closer to the deck and raised my camera. Taking quick shots of the beauty in front of him. I realized that I had to sit down to write properly. So, I looked around and spotted few sun loungers near. As I got near, I saw a person resting on one of the loungers and the one next to him was a little too close, as if dragged nearer. The other loungers were already occupied and this was the only left.
