Chapter 49: The Path We Took Together

SEHUN:

"Sehun, will you please send her home for me? She needs to rest."

Mrs. Lu said and gesture him to take Jenny's hand were hers clung tightly unto it.

He eyed Jenny whose now staring at her feet avoiding his gaze, seems like she's not into it or something, but upon shoving his eyes through Mrs. Lu, the woman smiled at him and nodded which he suddenly got confused. Mrs. Lu then mouthed 'Go on she won't get mad. Trust me.' and so he hesitatingly grab her hand and pull her with him.

"Sweetheart. Think about it okay?" Mrs. Lu said which Jenny nodded, though she didn't bother to meet the eye of the woman. She just threw her arms and hug her tightly.

"Take care of her Sehun." Mrs. Lu said and so he nodded eyeing Jenny whose now walking to Luhan's coffin for a last glimpse.

"I will Mrs. Lu. And I will do what Hyung wants me to do. I'll fix everything between me and Jenny. It's now time to start over with her." He said and hug her before leaving.

Highways were packed at the break of dawn. Some folks now start their day this early for work and school to avoid traffic.

The weather now starts to get chilly. Fall is near to end and the freezing winter will surely takes over.

He and Jenny were still on their way to the place were he wants to do his plan. His eyes caught a glimpse of that box from Luhan's mom and a sad smile etch on his face as he remember the content of it.

FLASHBACK...

He slowly detach the tie that's holding the cover of the box to its body and upon successfully doing it, he lift the cover and scan the content of the box.

Old photographs of his and Luhan's filled the other side of the box while on the other occupies a small little red box of a what it seems jewelry.

"Luhan phoned me the night before the meeting..and he told me that he won't give up." Mrs. Lu stated and sighed heavily before she proceeds.

"But I advised him to. I ask him to do so to free himself from heartache when Jenny have her memory back. I thought he already think of it because he texted me about the apology letter he wrote and even ask me if it is the right thing to do, but then I found out that he left that the day you and him meets." She explained.

Upon scanning the entire box, a small piece of note welcomed his eyes and he pick it and unfold the paper, reading it with his eyes and absorb the content that says:

Sehun,

I know I've been very bad to you as a best friend and as your brother, though were not related I'm happy you call me as one. I am so sorry for everything I've done, especially for hurting you when I snatch Jenny away from you. I hope you understand me.

Tomorrow, you and I will finally meet and let Jenny choose were she wants to be. I admit, I'm so scared of loosing her, but as a man, I want to do what is right, and if ever she choose you, as promised, I will fully let you have her.

Sehun, upon reading this note, sure I am out of the country. I planned to leave this place whenever Jenny choose me or you. Though, I expect and I highly doubt that she'll surely choose you. If ever, please make her happy, take good care of her as what a real man would do. Be the real husband for her, and for that I return to you the ring that belongs to her.

He eyed the small box settled on the side of this huge box again.

So, its the ring.

He picked it and open it, revealing Jenny's wedding ring. He goes back reading the letter again.
