Chapter 45

TimeSkip: 6 weeks later
Kenma's Pov:

I was overdue. I was supposed to give birth a week ago. Kuroo was at practice and I sighed. Everything was pretty much set. I was laying on the couch having Brownie lick peanut butter off my fingers. Caramel jumped on the couch and laid in between my legs. I was watching Assassination Classroom. I was 41 weeks and I sighed. When Kuroo got home, he kissed my forehead.

"Hey my little penguin..."

"Stop calling me that~!"

"How are you feeling?"

"I wanna have this baby already."

"Aww you'll be fine."

I sighed and Kuroo helped me up. I used the bathroom and helped Kuroo put away some groceries he brought home. As I was putting away some tissue, I felt a liquid go down my leg. I blinked at the floor and then my eyes widened. 

"Well thank you for waiting until your dad got home."

"T-teturo!"

He ran into the bathroom and I looked at him getting more freaked out. I walked over to him. He took a good stare at me before taking a deep breath.

"Are you feeling any contractions?"

"No."

"Okay just um just sit down and I'll get you some water."

Apparently when you're in early labor you're supposed to ignore it. Which is like impossible, but whatever. I didn't hurt, at all. Kuroo stayed next to me getting me water when I got dehydrated. It was around 5 pm. About 10 minutes later, I felt my first contractions. I whined and held my stomach. He held my hands and smiled at me. 

"You're okay kitten."

"H-hurts..."

"I know, you're okay."

When it was over, he changed my position.Then he called the doctor. After some hours later the contractions got 4 minutes apart and we drove to the hospital. In the car the contractions got more intense. At a stop light, the contractions got so intense I started crying. They were coming more frequently and Kuroo ran the red light. I can tell Kuroo was to freak out. He parked and helped me out the car. 

"Alright come on kitten."

When we finally got a room, a doctor checked me out and I was on a hospital bed, in a hospital gown on. They gave me an epidural, like I asked and hooked me to a lot of machines.

"You alright kitten."

"No... I'm scared." 

"You're going to be fine."

"Okay."

"I want you to stay in here."

"I know, but I can't."

It was around 1 am. I laid back getting some sleep before the big time. When I woke back up it was time. The doctors rushed Kuroo out the room and I looked at him threw the window. He smiled and put a thumbs up. I started crying and the doctors prepped me for the birth. When I had to push, the baby wouldn't come out. I was screaming and I just really didn't want to get a c-section. I looked at Kuroo seeing that he was getting more restless. I pushed harder and then I heard crying. My breaths were impossible to catch and I felt my vision darken. 

Kuroo's Pov:

I saw our baby and I felt tears going down my cheek. The doctors never unlocked the door so I got worried. I was hyperventilating and I heard the doctors scream. 'HE'S NOT BREATHING!'
