Chapter 65

Kaoru's Pov:

The ride home was awkward with me and Hikaru. I didn't know what to say. Should I bring up what happened? Should I just talk about volleyball? I think everyone on the team noticed how randomly distant we became. I ended up falling asleep. When I woke up, I walked to the gym for our meeting, and the same blocker upper classmate came up to me.

"So did you finally make up with your boyfriend."

"Ugh shut up."

"Hey, hey, hey, don't get so mad."

He showed me his phone again and I rolled my eyes. My head on in Hikaru's lap and I was sleeping. He was rubbing my hair. I blushed then pushed the upper classmate away.

"Why do you keep taking pictures of us."

"Because couples goals-"

"Fuck outta here."

"You need to show respect to your upper classmen shorty."

He pushed me forward and I grind my teeth together. We met up in the gym and everyone sat down. The coach gave us a run-down of a practice game we would be doing in a month. After the meeting everyone went home. As Hikaru and I left the coach stopped us.

"Come here you two."

I started getting nervous and I walked back to the coach. Hikaru did the same and we looked at him. 

"I don't know what happened, but you two need to get your act together before the next practice game."

"Y-yes sir."

"Yes sir."

We bowed to him and left. Hikaru still ended up walking me home and I blushed. The silence between us was so loud I couldn't handle it. 

"Um... are you okay?"

"Yeah I'm fine..."

"I didn't expect you to still walk me home."

"Why not?"

"I don't know, I kind of thought you were to embarrassed to talk to me ever again."

"I still wanted to talk to you... especially after t-that."

"I actually really liked what we did,"

"I do too..."

We appeared at my house and I took a deep breath. I gave Hikaru a peck on the lips and walked inside. Dad got up and looked at me. Well shit, I totally forgot that I would have to get through my parents. He hugged me and Mom came out too. I smiled and hugged him back.

"How was the trip."

"It was.... great, I got to play volleyball with a lot of different people and it was r-really fun."

"I'm glad. Are you hungry?"

"Starving,"

Mom walked up to me and kissed my forehead. I went into my room I put my bag down, then I let my phone charge. I went back into the kitchen and made me some leftovers. After I showered and ate, I went into my room. There was a knock on my door and I opened it. My mom walked in.

"Did anything bad happen?"

"Nope, all great things. I even got to play volleyball with Haru, and Itome, oh and Itsuki and Yuna they wooped us the first time time we played against us but we have a practice game with them next month-"

"Your smell Kaoru."

"Huh? I- I umm."

"Your smell is stressed are you alright?"

"Oh, yeah I'm just tired, really tired."

"Right, well get some sleep. We'll talk in the morning."

"O-okay mom goodnight!"

He closed the door and I leaned back. I looked at my phone wondering if I should call him. I decided to not call him and just go to sleep.
