Chapter 46

Kuroo's Pov: 

Two doctors tended to the baby, and the rest of the five doctors tended to Kenma. I heard a heart monitor go straight. I started getting anxious and I just wanted to be with Kenma. I started loosing my control and a security guard had to tell me to stop. They hooked Kenma to a breathing machine and I just cried. There was no way, I could raise a child without Kenma. I heard the heart monitor start beat again. 

I felt a huge wave of relief come over me. Kenma and I made eye contact and I smiled. The doctors put our baby on Kenma's chest. Before they let me in, the oxygen machine off of Kenma. They then let me in and I slowly walked up to Kenma.

"Look... h-he's adorable..."

"I know... you did really well kitten."

"I literally died."

"But you're okay now."

"Y-yeah I guess so." 

Kenma let out a deep breath as our little baby boy ate his first meal. He had jet black hair, he had golden eyes like Kenma, he had cat like features like Kenma also. I smiled, the doctors said he weighed 7 pounds and 2 ounces. His height was 50 cm. And his birthdate was June 1st. Once he was finished eating, Kenma looked up at me. 

"Here... you hold him."

"A-alright."

As I held the small infant in my arms, I felt an immediate connection. He was so light and I was afraid of him breaking into a million little piece like he was a sacred piece of glass. Neither me or Kenma wanted to cut his umbilical cord, so the doctors did. Once they did, they wrapped him up into a blanket. They moved Kenma to a different room. 

Kenma asked the doctor some questions and we got Karou's birth certificate. Kenma had to stay at the hospital with the baby for 3 days which gave me a lot of time to clean up and get everything ready. When they came home, we put Karou down in his crib. I gave Kenma a meal. 

"You okay?"

"Tired..."

"No- I mean up there in your head."

"....I- um nervous?"

"I'm sorry, I didn't get to be the room with you."

"Yeah. I- um I'm also sorry I died for 12 minutes,"

"Just don't do it again."

I said patting Kenma's head. I made chicken alfredo and he ate it quickly. I put the dish away and Kenma walked into the nursery. I followed him and smiled. 

"He looks like you, kitten."

"Yeah..."

"Hey kitten guess what?"

"What?"

"We're parents now."

"I know."

Kenma picked him up and we put some clothes on him. Kaoru started crying and me and Kenma looked at each other. He handed me Kaoru and I held him. I rocked him a little bit and he cried harder. I figured that he was hungry and handed him to Kenma.

"Turn around."

"Huh?"

"I- I don't want you to see me breastfeeding."

"Why not."

"It's embarrassing."

"How, I'm just watching the love of my life feed our beautiful baby boy."

"Yeah, embarrassing."

"Aw."

"C-could you please turn around."

"Okay okay."

I turned around. After a minute I turned back around and looked at Kenma and Kaoru. Kenma blushed and looked down at Kaoru. Kenma pouted and I kissed his forehead. After a minute Kenma burped Kaoru, I patted him on the head. Once Kaoru burped, Kenma put him back down.

"Tetsuro... I-I'm really happy."
