Chapter 71

Kaoru's Pov: 

I went into Kazumi's room and closed the door. She was crying again and she looked at me.

"I- I got you in trouble..."

"It's okay."

I hugged her and she cried in my chest.

"You have to tell them now though."

"I- I know,"

She took a deep breath. We walked out the room. I followed her to the living room. Everyone stopped talking and looked at her. She gulped. Dad looked at her confused and so did everyone else.

"I-it's my fault..." Kazumi said. 

"Kazumi what are you talking about?" Dad said. She started playing with her fingers.

"T-the guy they beat up... g-got me pregnant." Kazumi said. She told them everything she told me and Hikaru. The room was so quiet, I could probably hear a fly shit in the corner. Kageyama-chan hugged Kazumi and I looked at Dad. His face got angrier. My mom grabbed a knife from the kitchen and walked out the door. Dad following him soon after and Hikaru got up. Kageyama-san followed Mom and Dad soon after we heard a 'I'M GOING TO KILL THAT BASTARD!'

"How far along are you Kazumi?" Kageyama-chan asked still hugging her. 

"3 w-weeks." She said. Kageyama-chan let her go and smiled at her. Hikaru looked at me and I sighed. I let Kageyama-chan talk secretly with Kazumi. I went to my room with Hikaru and I looked at him.

"Are you okay Kaoru... this is really big for you and I-"

"You... lost control today... I've never even heard you growl before." 

"Oh yeah... I try not to, I- I just felt so mad today... sorry if I scared you."

"You didn't... I'm still in shock haha. I just hope that asshole isn't still seventeen."

"Oh yeah... since I-I'm eighteen now... I guess if he was seventeen I would be arrested."

"Yeah..."

I hugged him and he hugged me back. After the hug I opened the door. Mom was back and Dad was talking to Kazumi. Mom looked at me and beckoned the both of us to come to him. We walked to him. 

"How long have you two known?"

"F-for like a week... she didn't want us to tell you,"

"I'm proud of you two."

"Why?"

"For almost murder the kid."

"Oh, why thank you." I said, Hikaru chuckled.

"Don't worry you two aren't in trouble... just be careful next time. If their family called the cops Hikaru could've went to jail."

"Yeah."

"Don't worry you two, you're not in trouble. Just please promise to keep more of an eye on your sister."

"Yes sir."

Kageyama-san and Kageyama-chan took Hikaru home. Dad started to cook and Kazumi stayed in her room. When dinner was ready I knocked on her door. She opened it and she looked down at my feet.

"What."

"Dinner's ready."

"Can you bring me a plate."

"Sure." 

I made her a plate and gave it to her. I made my own plate and ate in the living room. It was different not seeing Kazumi sitting in the living room not playing video games in the living room while we ate. I took a shower after her and when I got out dad looked at me. I walked to him and he smiled at me. 

"Did something happen?"

"No, no, I'm just glad you stuck up for your sister." 

"Are you mad at her."

"Of course not,"

"Dad I'm sorry I let that happen to Kazumi..."

"Don't worry, we'll all come up with something. It's not your fault."
