Chapter 63

TimeSkip: 3 Weeks Later
Kaoru's Pov: 

"Thank you for helping me studyyy."

"Tch. You barely passed! Were you even listening?!"

"I was at first then I heard Kazumi start playing video games in the other room and I couldn't focus..."

"Wow. You get so distracted at times it's quite embarrassing."

"I get it from my parents."

"Right I'm pretty sure both Kageyama-chan and Kageyama-san didn't almost fail the 2nd grade."

"Bye- those homophones messed me up~"

We got onto the bus and sat beside each other. When the coach finished role call, we started to drive. The hotel wasn't that far away only like 20 or 30 minutes. We were going to meet a lot of other teams. Even though last year in our Hikaru and I were pretty famous we didn't make it to nationals. But we are going to this year. 

"Hey Kaoru... do you think were going to win a lot of games."

"Well I hope so. But we're not here to win a lot of games, we're here to practice and get better."

"You're right... I guess trying to do my parents quick attack isn't always going work huh."

"Yep we're going here to find our own move."

I yawned and laid on his shoulder. I fell asleep and he did the same. When we got there, everyone was snickered at me and Hikaru. Once we got inside one of the blockers walked up to me. He was my upper classmate and he always picked on me and Hikaru. 

"Heyy lover boy!"

"Huh, get off me your heavy~" 

"How rude I just wanted to show you this awesome picture,"

He showed me his phone, it showed Hikaru holding me while we were sleeping. I blushed and rolled my eyes.

"Delete that!"

"Or what?"

"Or I'll beat your ass."

"Beat it then, your boyfriend will sure be mad~"

Hikaru came up behind me and the upper classmate backed off. He snickered and I gave him the middle finger. I called my dad to tell him that I was alright

"Hello... hey dad I just wanted to call you and let you know that I made it."

"Alright well tell Hikaru I said hello and be careful alright."

"Okay love ya dad."

"Love you too kiddo."

I hung up and texted Mom I was okay. I set my stuff down and everyone got dressed. I looked at all the teams playing. I saw Haru, Itome, and Itsuki on one team. I've played with them before. Yuna was their team manager and I gulped as their team won the first set. 

"AGh I'm so excited."

"I'm nervous is that the infamous Haru scary~"

"Don't worry, don't worry."

"You boke how am I not supposed to be worried."

Once we got on the court we got absolutely swept by the other team. We had to do 20 diving drills. I still had a lot of energy and Hikaru was started to get energy also. At the end of the day we only won 2 or 3 games. Hikaru and I decided to practice with Haru, Itome, and Itsuki. Yuna was also with them. They all looked at us and I took a deep breath.

"Hi, I was wondering if we could practice with you." 

They eventually said yes and we all practiced. Hikaru and I finally got the move we were working on. Hikaru actually learned more moved from Itome and we all become friends. We went back to our room and I took a shower first. I talked to other people on the team. 

"Hey um Kuroo-san are you dating Kageyama-kun?"

"Oh no no no we're just friends,"

I blushed and some of the teams scoffed. I pouted and stuck my tongue out at them.
