Chapter 42

TimeSkip: 5 weeks later
Kuroo's Pov:

After 5 long weeks of moving, we successfully got comfortable in our new house. Kenma had his office set up, our living room, bathroom, and kitchen was decorated. We got a lot of new toys and stuff for Caramel and Brownie. Of course my bro Koutarou helped me move everything in and Keiji helped us decorate. The nursery was about done, it still needed a couple of details. Kenma was 26 weeks today or six months. He was the perfect weight, despite they fact he had a weight mental breakdown after that fucker called him fat. The baby was healthy, he was healthy, and everything seemed like it would be okay.

I had just taken a shower and I saw him sleeping in the bed. Weeks where it was hard for him to sleep, would usually hit him very hard. He would stay up all night editing which wasn't the smartest thing to do. It would take him a really long time for him to fall asleep. Which is why, seeing him fast asleep was so common. I laid behind him and put my hands over his growing stomach. I closed my eyes and then I felt moving. My eyes jolted open, then Kenma shifted. 

I got up and went to lay in front of him. I laid my head by his stomach and I rubbed it. I chuckled at the thoughts of raising our child. Maybe he would get into volleyball, hopefully he doesn't get my untamed bedhead. I felt another kick, then Kenma whined. 

"Hey little guy... your mommy's trying to sleep y'know. You've been giving him a very hard time. Can you calm down a bit for him?"

As silly as it might seemed, I often talked to Kenma's stomach. Not while he was awake of course but while he was fast asleep. I gave his stomach as kiss and I thought of something Koutarou told me. He said he one growled at Keiji's stomach when he was pregnant and the twins moved around. Parentally it helps make sure the baby is healthy. Maybe it'll work with Kenma...? I did a low growl to make sure not to wake Kenma. I felt the baby move again and Kenma yawned. I smiled and Kenma flinched.

"What are you doing?!"

"Talking to our baby."

"...Oh you do that?"

"Of course I do,"

"Well what did you say?"

"I told him to calm down a bit,"

"Well that backfired."

"Sorry kitten... I know you're tired."

"Y-yeah."

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing... j-just cramps."

"Aww it's going to be okay kitten."

He sat up and so did I. He leaned forward and hugged me. I picked him up so he was sitting in my lap and I heard him start sniffing. 

"K-kuroo... I'm scared."

"Me too... but I know you're going to be okay."

"B-but it's only like 3 months away."

"Yeah I know, but you'll do fine."

"You don't know that... you're just hoping I'll be alright and me and the baby will be fine."

"Wishing into existence."

"I guess."

I rubbed his back and he hugged onto me. He clenched my shirt and I started humming. When he stopped clenching to my shirt I heard him yawn. 

"So tired..."

"Is he still moving?"

"Not really... I think that last cramp was his goodnight."

"I think he has my personality."

"Let's hope he doesn't have your hair."

"So modest." 

"Do you think he'll look like me more or you more?"

"I think he'll look more like me."

"Really... well you were right last time so I better not question it."

"Yep!"

"What do you think his 2nd gender will be?"

"I think he'll be an omega."

"I think he'll be an alpha."

"Really? Why?"

"I read somewhere that alphas tend to more around more... and it said that having an alpha is a lot more challenging." 

"Awww don't say that~ I bet you read it from one of those old wives tales you did."

"...Maybe"

"Haha."

"Shoyo is 34 weeks right now."

"Ohhh he's super close."

"Yeah... he has about 6 more weeks left if the baby isn't early for him."

"Would you like our baby to be early, on time, or late."

"On time... stupid ass question."

"Sorry, sorry."

"Dang it!"

"Hm...?"

"I've been calling you Kuroo..."

"Oh yeahh haha I call getting a full night's rest first."

"No fair, I barely called you by your first name as a child..."

"Awww it's okay."

"Mhm."

"I was thinking about names... did you want to help me?"

"Mh..."

He felt his breath as he fell asleep and I chuckled. I laid him down then kissed his forehead. I then kissed and stomach and fell asleep cuddling him.
