Chapter 17

Kuroo's Pov: 

As they carried Kenma away on a stretcher, my hands were bloody, I was sweating, and I was crying. I realized he was having a miscarriage when I went into the bathroom. I sat down, everyone in the waiting room was looking at me. About an hour later a doctor came towards me and said Kenma's name. I got up and he gulped.

"Is he alright? Is the baby alright?"

"Mr. Kozume Kenma is fine, the baby not so much."

"Did it... die?"

"Yes. It died."

"Fuck."

"Therefore, we need to do surgery to clean his womb."

"How much does it cost?"

"$2,500."

"I- I can cover it just please make sure he's alright."

"Yes sir. The surgery will start 9 pm and end at 12:00 am. So advice you to go get yourself situated at home."

"Right, thank you doctor."

I did as the doctor said. I took another shower when I got home. I made sure to have extra clothes packed with me for Kenma. I ate a sandwich. I stayed at home until 11:00. I just cried on the couch. When I got back to the hospital I sat in the waiting room again. When it was 12:10 the same doctor came out. He called for Kenma's name again and I walked up to him. 

"Follow me sir."

I did as he said and followed him to a room. Kenma was there sleeping. He was in a hospital gown. I pulled up a chair and sat beside him. I held his hand and kissed it. The doctor left and I looked at Kenma. 

"I really hope you're okay."

"You can't be scary me like that kitten."

"I feel so terrible for not being with you today,"

"But- I'm sure it won't it won't be hard to make another baby right?"

I sniffed and wiped my tears. I kissed his hand again and sighed. I intertwined our fingers and smiled. 

"I love you so much kitten. I just- it was instincts for you so... I don't really know if you feel the same way."

I sighed and laid my head down. I ended up falling asleep. I woke up to someone playing in my hair. I blinked my eyes awake and I looked up. Kenma blushed as we made eye contact. I smiled and he looked away.

"Y-your awake."

"Yeah... are you okay?"

".... N-not- not really."'

"I'm glad you're not lying to me."

"Umm K-kuro..."

"Mmh?"

"I-I'm sorry... I let our baby die..."

"Don't be sorry kitten, it's not your fault."

"B-but-"

"No buts... you didn't do anything wrong okay?"

"Okay."

I realized we were still holding hands and I smiled. Kenma looked at me confused and then he blushed again. I kissed his hand and he looked away from me. I chuckled and got up. I released his hand from my grasp and stretched. I sat back down and he gulped.

"W-what are we going to do now Kuroo?"

"What do you mean?"

"I mean- since I'm not pregnant anymore... should I leave?"

"What? No, if you left where would you go?"

"My parents."

"No, you can stay at my place, I don't mind if you move in."

"Oh thank you."

He grabbed a paper beside him and gave it to me. It was the surgery bill and I sighed. He took a deep breath and tapped me. 

"Hm?"

"I should um warn you, t-the doctors said my um next few heats are going to be intense."

"Well thank you for the warning."

"Isn't that... going to be a problem."

"Hopefully not... but I'll warn you I'm not that good at controlling myself."

"K-Kuroo!"

I chuckled at him flushed face. I wasn't really lying to him. Every time Kenma would go into heat around me it took everything in me to not touch him. My feelings towards him didn't make it any better. He sighed and laid back. He started playing with my hair again. That's when I remembered something. Before Kenma left that morning we slept together, he said that I was the guy he had feelings for other than Konoha. My eyes widened and I stood up. He looked at me confused and I gave him a kiss. He flinched then he kissed me back. When I broke the kiss and blushed. 

"W-what- what was that?"

"A kiss for my kitten."

"K-kiss?"

"Yes a kiss, I'm sure you liked it didn't you."

"..."

"I'll take that as a yes."

"Why did you give me a kiss?"

"Why not?"

"But we're not even dating?"

"Well then maybe we should change that."

"C-change what?"

"Our relationship status of course."

"H-huh?"

"Kenma, would you like to date me?"

"Asking me out in a hospital?"

"Heh heh sorry."

"Y-yeah... I would like to date you."
