Saph
After the mess that was the encounter with my family I was finally in Niall's house, getting ready for the party. I took a quick shower in his bathroom and put on a pair of joggers and a T-shirt before walking back into his room.
"Bathroom's all yours." I announced as I walked out of the bathroom. Niall sat up from his bed and came over to me.
"I got you the hair dryer you asked for." He smiled and pointed to his desk before he walked into the bathroom to take a shower as well.
"Thanks bub." I smiled back and he sent me a wink before he closed the door, making me smile to myself at the little gesture. I quickly dried my hair and got changed into my outfit. I had settled on a black halter dress, which I paired with some knee high socks as always to keep my legs warm, since the dress was a little short. I plugged in my hair straightener and started doing my makeup on the floor, infront of a full length mirror, as I waited for it to heat up.
Niall didn't take long to come back into the room and if I said that my attention was not suddenly on him through the reflection of the mirror from the second he opened the door of the bathroom I would be lying. He had forgotten to take a clean shirt with him, thus coming back in just a pair of grey joggers, his hair tousled and damp. His torso wasn't ridiculously toned, but that didn't make him any less attractive. I turned around and kept watching him as he dug through a drawer for a shirt, examining the muscles on his biceps and his back as they flexed with every movement he made. He tugged a shirt over his head and turned around, catching me staring at him and blushing when he realised that I was watching him the entire time.
I turned back to the mirror and continued straightening my hair. Once I was done a few minutes later, I gathered all of it and brought it over my left shoulder to brush it one last time.
"Is that the Deathly Hallows symbol?" Niall asked, coming over to stand behind me.
"What?" I raised an eyebrow, looking up at him through the mirror. He sat down on the floor behind me and traced my right shoulder blade with the pads of his fingers, making a shiver run down my spine from the touch of his hand.
"Your tattoo. I've seen it once before from afar, but I couldn't tell what the design was. It's pretty cool." He said, wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on my shoulder.
"How do you know what the symbol is? Are you a Harry Potter fan?" I asked, surprised to find out that we had that in common too.
"Yeah, but I've only seen the movies." He admitted, chuckling to himself.
"Really? You haven't read any of the books?" I questioned, intrigued by the conversation over our common interest.
"I read the first two when I was younger, but that's about it." He added, leaving a kiss on my cheek before getting up to go back to his bed.
"Let me guess, you think you'd be in Gryffindor." I joked.
"Of course! It's the best house."
"No. You just wanna be in it because the main characters are in it too." I argued, laughing quietly to myself.
"Maybe. And what house would you be in?" He answered, joining my laughter.
"Isn't it obvious? I'm clearly a Slytherin."
"I can see you being friends with Malfoy actually." He admitted. I snickered and shook my head. It was kinda funny to me that we were so invested into a conversation about a fictional universe, because I didn't expect he'd be interested in the matter. But it was nice to find more things I had in common with him and I was already looking forward to having a movie marathon together.
