"Lately I've been I've been losing sleep. Dreami-" Decline call.

I groaned in annoyance and rolled on my other side on my comfortable bed.

That's the third time someone called me within ten minutes, interrupting my sleep and it's starting to piss me off. Though I haven't checked the caller's ID, let alone bothering to answer.

Not a minute had passed and my phone rang again and that was it. I couldn't take it anymore.

"What!" I snapped at the, still, unknown caller. I heard someone sigh on the other side.

"Finally you picked up! Thank God!" One of my mates sounded.

"What do you want Liam?" I grumbled, rubbing my eye. It's too fucking early!

"You forgot, didn't you?"

"Forget what?" I questioned, yawning deeply right after and stretching my arms and legs out.

"You have thirty minutes to be at school." He answered before the line went dead, leaving me confused. It took me a couple of seconds to realize that school started today.

"Shit!" I cursed as I jumped out of bed and ran to the bathroom.

"Great. Just great."

It took me about ten minutes to get ready. Climbing down the long staircase, I came across Mrs. Jones, our house keeper.

"Good morning sweetheart." The fifty year old woman smiled fondly at me. I've known her almost all my life. She comes here and cleans the house since my vocabulary still consisted of ten words. I greeted her back, giving a smile myself and proceeded to walk out the door when she spoke again.

"Aren't you gonna have breakfast?" She asked surprised, knowing I don't lose opportunities to eat.

"I don't have time. I'll eat later at school." I reassured her.

"Okay. Have a nice day." She waved at me as I closed the door, waving back. I ran to my car, jumping in and speeding off to school. I might have gotten over the speed limit but that's the least of my worries right now. I only slowed down when I could finally see the school. Now the hard part. Finding somewhere to park.

Finally managing to park my car, I rushed into the building just to find out no one was in the hallways so I just stood there. There is no point in going to class now so I just waited for the bell to ring. I found my locker and leaned against it, looking around as my mind travelled.

I can't believe summer's already over! Guess it's true that when you're having fun time flies faster. Me and the boys used to go to the beach every other day. We even slept there a couple of times. I also managed to tan a little, something that's hard for me, considering I'm really pale. We had a blast these few month. We played football most of the time, something we all love. We even got drunk once!

I was drawn back to reality when I captured some kind of movement with the corner of my eye.

A girl walked out of the women's bathroom. I couldn't see her face but it was clear that she was different. Her died blue hair and, what seemed like, the tattoo on the blade of her shoulder revealed her edgy style. She started coughing as she disappeared behind a wall. I kept looking at the direction she went without even realising it until the bell rang. People emerged from the classrooms filling the, until now, empty hallways. I remained still, hoping to find my friends easily. Unfortunately for me though, the first person who found me was one of the school's bullies. He had an amused smile as he approached me.

"What's that?" He said pointing at my shirt. I, being the idiot I am, looked down. Correction. I tried to look down, because the second my head made the slightest movement, he pushed it up by my chin, resulting it to collide to the locker's material with a surprisingly large impact. He walked away laughing, earning a big list of curse words directed to him to explode in my mind. I wanted so bad to say them to his trash of a face, but I knew that if I did, I'd have to use a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I squeezed my eyes shut and re-opened them only when the pain had backed down a few seconds later.
