Part 5

I went to the house and everything was still there. It was trashed though. I remembered whenever Mer told me that if either of us were in trouble and in this case it was her. She'd leave a note under the squeaky wood floorboard under our bed. I ran upstairs through the trashed floor. I went into our bedroom and the bed was broken against the wall. Wood was everywhere. I searched through the floor where the bed used to be. I found the floorboard. I lifted it up and saw a little box. I took the dusty box off and opened it. There was a post it note.

Derek I never gave up on you

If you're reading this I'm gone already
I took the kids to Boston
Please come find me I'm waiting for you
Boston apartment room 203
I love you

I kissed the note and put it into my pocket. I immediately ran downstairs and out the door. I was so excited. I got into my car and drove to the airport. I went in and bought a ticket. I didn't have luggage or anything, just myself. The plane departs in an hour. I was too excited to do anything. I waited in the seats shaking until I was called

"Flight 446 is boarding" the intercom said

I ran over and got into the plane. I sat down and we finally got into the air. I was sitting by myself. We arrived in Boston about for hours later. I ran to a taxi and we went to the address that she wrote. I got out of the car.

"Thanks" I said running up to the apartment doors.

Someone walked in the door in front of me, so I took it and walked in. I went up to room 203. I couldn't wait. I kept knocking on the door until someone answered.

"Hi" a little girl said who looked exactly like Meredith

I bent down to her level. She looked about 5.

"Is Meredith here" I asked confused

"Mommy" she yelled in her sweet little voice

"Yes sweetie" I heard Mer yell

"Come here" the little girl yelled

I was so excited. My heart was beating out of my chest. I saw her figure walk around the little hall wall. She saw me and I looked at her. I felt myself die inside of me. I wanted to just take her right here and now

"Ellis go to your brother and sister" Mer stuttered

"Ok" she said leaving the door

I walked into the little apartment and shut the door. We haven't broken eye contact. I couldn't handle it anymore. I walked fast to her. I didn't hesitate nor stop. I put my hands on her face and walked her back to the couch. She fell over the side of it and we landed on the cushions. Our tongues danced around each other's mouth sending shockwaves through me. We were out of breath, but neither of us pulled away. It was too much of a great moment. She put her hands on my face and I buried my face into her.

"Mommy" the little girl yelled

I backed away from the kiss and sat up on the side of the couch. I watched the little girl ran down the hall to us. She went to mer and she picked her up. She sat the little girl on her lap and they both looked at me.

"Who's he" she said pointing to me

"Hi I'm-" I said holding my hand out and Meredith stopped me

"This is your daddy Ellis" Mer smiled

Dad. Ellis. We have another one. I could just melt right here. Ellis held her little hand out and I shook it.

"I thought he was dead" she said

"I did too" Meredith laughed

I heard Meredith's giggle come through Ellis. I couldn't help but smile. Mer let ellis down and she ran way. I felt my face hurt from smiling so much.

"I missed you" I said grabbing her waist.

I pulled her onto my lap and she leaned down. She pecked my lips.

"Me too" she whispered

"So Ellis" I questioned with a smile

She laughed and I saw tears coming down her eyes

"We didn't even know, I wish you got to know" she said smiling wiping her tears

"Growing her up without you stabbed me and my heart kept breaking every time" she cried

I kissed her lips passionately and wiped her tears away.

"I'm not leaving now. I can watch all of them grow up starting now" I smiled with a tear coming down my eye.

She put her hands on the back of my hair and started pulling it a little.

"I have to explain something" I said as guilt washed over me

"No you don't have-" she said and I stopped her

"Please. It's only right" I said as she got off my lap

She sat next to me.

"So the government forced me to stay there because of my kids" I said and she looked at me confused

"This fellow and I are the most intelligent people in the world and they forced us to have a kid because" I said and started crying

"Because they think that they can do stuff to her. They can make her the smartest and best kid on this Earth" I said crying more

"If I left they would've came for you and knowing what I know now I would've left a long time ago because they still came after you" I cried

She took my head and pushed me down into her shoulder. I heard her crying and hugged her.

"Mer I could never stop thinking about you" I said trying to wipe my tears

"So you have another daughter" she asked wiping her tears

I looked up at her

"No" I said

She looked confused

"I don't want anything to do with that. I know it's harsh, but I was forced to make that child. I don't want it" I said truthfully

"Ok" she nodded

I hugged her and kissed her lips. I got up.

"We. We have to go. We have to get out of this country" I said to her knowing that we aren't safe here.

"Yeah" she said wiping her tears and getting up.

She looked up at me and I hugged her.

"You have to tell me about our daughter on the way" I whispered

She giggled a little bit.

"Where's Bailey and Zola" I asked backing away from the hug

"In their play room" she smiled pointing to the door

I walked over and opened the door. The kids looked at me.

"Daddy" Zola yelled running to me

They are both so big now. Zola's 9 now and Bailey 7 they are huge.

I leaned down and hugged Zola. I held her tight. I held my arms out for Bailey and Ellis. They came into the hug and I hugged them all really tight not wanting to let go. I heard footsteps behind me and she put her hands on my shoulder. She went into our little circle with the kids and I wrapped my arm around her. We all had a big hug. I let go of the kids and Mer got up. I followed her out of the room.

Next part is going to be merder reconnecting😏
