Chapter 48

1 week later

We moved into our new house that was walking distance from the hospital that were building. It was in a woodsy area which was amazing. The kids were at school. We had Lexie and Haley. They were sleeping. Mer was in the shower. I was making breakfast for all of us in the kitchen. I made eggs, toast, and a bunch of fruit. I grabbed breast milk from the fridge and put it in a bottle. I heated it up because Haley's feeding time was soon. Mer walked down the steps. I turned around and looked at her. She was wearing a robe. I put my cup of coffee down and stared at her. She started walking over to me and I didn't even realize I kept staring at her. She put her hand on my chest and I looked down at it. I looked back up at her. I cleared my throat

"Um- do you want some breakfast" I asked handing her a plate

"Sure" she smiled

I put some eggs on her plate. She grabbed toast and fruit. She sat on the kitchen counter and her head was in front of a cabinet. I walked in between her legs. I put my head into her lap. I wrapped my arms around her back. I started crying into her lap

"What's wrong" she asked

"Their funerals in 3 days" I said

"I'm so sorry" she whispered kissing the top of my head

"I don't want to pack, but today's the last day" I whispered

I heard little feet running down the steps. I knew it was Lexie. I backed away and wiped my face. I turned around and Lexie started running to me only in her diaper.

"Uhhh where's your clothes little miss" I smiled picking her up

I held her in the air and started spinning her slowly. I brought her down and started blowing into her stomach to make her laugh. She kept laughing and I held her around my waist. I brought her to mer.

"I'm going to feed Haley" I said

She put her plate down and took Lexie. I grabbed Haley's bottle and brought it upstairs. I went into Haley's room. She was awake.

"Hi baby" I laughed walking to her.

I picked her up. I put the bottle into her mouth and she started eating. She finally finished. She was hungry. I burped her and wiped her face. I changed her into a pink matching outfit. I brought her downstairs. I put her into a little baby swing that always put her to sleep. It started rocking her. I went over to mer. She was sitting by Lexie who was eating. I ate some fruit.

5 hours later

I drove to the kids school. I picked them up and took them back home. They went upstairs to do their homework. I went upstairs to find Mer. She's been sleeping a lot lately and I don't know why. I walked into our room. She was taking a nap.

"Meredith" I whispered

"Mmm" she said

"We're home" I said

"Okay" she mumbled

I shut the door to let her sleep. I went downstairs and started cleaning up a little bit

6 hours later

I made dinner. The kids were eating down here and Mer was feeding Hailey upstairs. I started eating.

"Hey kids. When you guys are done go take a shower and get ready" I said

"Okay" they all said

A couple minutes lately they finished eating and went upstairs. Mer came down here holding Haley. I handed her a plate of food and she started eating.

1 hour later

We put the kids to bed and walked into the hall. She looked at me and I started smiling. I picked her up and walked into the room. I shut the door. I threw her onto the bed and started taking her clothes off. She started taking mine off. We were completely naked and I pulled her up to the pillows. I kept kissing her and slid into her. She winced a little. I thrusted slowly as I stared down at her. I started smiling.

She started smiling and her eyes started getting red. Her walls started to tighten.

I pulled out and all of her liquids came out of her that were staying in her tight walls.

"We have to change the sheets" I whispered looking down and smiling

"What do you mean" I asked

She leaned down and started kissing my lips. We pulled away and got up. We grabbed some new sheets that were in our closet. We changed the bed and fixed everything. I put boxers on and Mer put pajamas on.

She turned over and I kissed her cheek. I buried my head into her back and started having these nightmares. My mom came back. Her face was bloody like someone sliced her. She put her hand on me
