Chapter 22

We finished our hike and started walking home. Lexie was getting a little fussy. I picked her up while Mer stayed on the path. I started watching a man walk up to her and say something. I started soothing Lexie as I watched them. Mer side eyed me and I saw her flirting with him. She started giggling and doing her sparkly eye thing. I started staring at her, she knew it. She hit his shoulder and kept laughing. He walked away. Ooo how much I wanted to make it known that she was mine. I walked over to her and put Lexie in her stroller.

"So what was that" I said

"What. I have no idea what you're talking about" she smirked

"You were doing the sparkly eye thing" I said

"What sparkly I thing" she questioned

"You know exactly what I'm talking about" I said

"Mmhm" she smirked

She started walking with the stroller.

"I really don't like you right now" I said seriously

"How do you feel that I flirted with him" she asked ticking me off

"I hate it. You are mine, no one else's" I said

"Then you shouldn't be jealous" she said

"Then you shouldn't flirt with them" I said

"It's fine making you jealous" she smirked

"Just stop please" I said

"Aw someone's mad" she laughed

"Meredith stop" I said

"Fine" she said

We walked home and went into the house. I took Lexie up to her crib and put her to bed. I went downstairs and Meredith was in our bedroom. I walked in and she took her shirt off, the only thing she had on was her bra.

"No, you get out" she said throwing her shirt at me

I smelled it

"You smell good" I said

"Gooo" she said

"No" I argued back

I threw her shirt back at her

"Are you joking" she asked

"No. This is our bedroom. We do everything in here, you can't just kick me out" I spat

"Then I'm leaving" she said

I grabbed her arm and threw her on the bed. I held her arms above her head and she started kicking me

"Get off of me" she yelled

"Meredith calm yourself okay" I said trying to calm her

She relaxed and let her body go.

"Meredith just don't it's simple. I love you and you love me. We are good okay" I said letting go of her arms

"No we aren't. I can do whatever I want" she said getting up

I started getting a phone call. I took my phone out of my pocket and Meredith took it.

"Hello" she said angrily on it

I couldn't here what the other person was talking about

"Are you serious" she asked

"Ok well I'm going to tell him thank you" she said tearing up

She gave me my phone

"What" I said wiping the little tear from her eye

"Amelia she said there's a school shooting at your daughters middle school" she said
