Chapter 58

I started packing Haley's baby bag. I packed her bag and brought it downstairs. I went back upstairs and took a quick shower. I got out and dried my hair. I wrapped a towel around my waist and walked out of the bathroom. The bedroom door opened. Bailey walked in

"Hey dad, we're ready" he said

"Okay could you help me bring all your bags downstairs" I asked

"Yeah for sure dad" he said leaving.

I put black pants and a white t shirt on. I walked out of the room and the kids were bringing their bags downstairs. I went to Haley's room and picked her up with her baby blanket. She was awake and sucking her thumb. I put a pacifier in her mouth, so that she wouldn't use her thumb. I brought her downstairs and grabbed her back

"Come one guys. Let's bring them into the car" I said opening the front door

We walked outside and I put Haley into her car seat. I brought her bag into the trunk and the kids came out. I put all of their back packs into the trunk. They got into the car and I went to the front seat. I turned around to make sure that everyone was buckled.

"Ellis could you buckle Lexie" I asked because they were next to each other

She looked down at the buckle

"Yeah" she said grabbing it

I turned back around and started the car. It was really chilly today. I drove to Amelias and they all put their backpacks on. I grabbed Haley and her bag. I went to the front door. I knocked and Amelia answered. Scout was standing next to her.

Bailey went into the house with him. The girls walked in passing Amelia. I handed Haley and her bag to Amelia.

I smiled at her and walked away. I went back to the car and started driving home. I got home and started thinking of a perfect idea. I walked into the house and went to the living room. "I'm recreating our amazing night" I said moving out of the way and opening the door

She walked in and looked over at the blanket and fire place.

"Our wedding night" she smiled turning around and looking at me.

"I'm surprised you kept that blanket. You hated it" I smiled

"It reminded me so much of you that I couldn't get rid of it" she said tearing up
