Chapter 28

She started tearing up

"Mer what's wrong" I whispered into her hair

"I didn't want this to happen like this" she whispered

"I'm sorry" I whispered

I didn't know what else to say to her. All I could do was comfort her. She gasped and backed up

"Mer what's wrong" I asked

"We- we- I drank yesterday and got drunk. We did a lot of stuff" she said panicking

"Meredith it's okay. You probably aren't that far along okay" I said looking into her beautiful eyes

She took a deep breath

"Okay" she whispered

"I don't want anyone to know about this yet" she said

"I promise" I said

I hugged her and we walked out of the bathroom

"Do you want to celebrate" I asked

"No I don't want to get too attached" she said

"Okay" I said kissing her head

We walked over to the bed and she laid down.

"What do you want to do" I asked

"Lay in bed" she smiled

I nodded and laid next to her. I pulled the blanket over us and held her tight.

1 week later

I packed all of our things up and put them in a taxi. We drove to the airport and grabbed them. We walked in and went straight through security. We were running late. We ran and finally made it. We walked into coach and sat down. We were out of breath. We put our carryons next to us because we didn't want to put them up. I declined my chair and waited till the plane lifted up

"Derek" Mer asked

"Yes" I said looking at her

"I'm scared about this pregnancy" she said holding her stomach

"We have Addison now so hopefully she can walk us through it" I said holding her hand.

I kissed the top of her hand. We started flying smoothly in the air. I ate some cookies. Mer wasn't hungry. This pregnancy was different so I feel like it's going to be a boy. I didn't want to say anything to her because she was taking this slow. A couple of hours later we finally arrived in Australia. We grabbed our carry ons and got off the plane. We grabbed our luggage and walked outside to our car. We put everything in.

"I can't wait to see the kids" Mer said

"Me too" I laughed

We drove home and walked to the front door. I knocked on it. It was night time, but the kids were probably still awake. Amelia opened the door.

"You guys are home early" she laughed

We walked in and the kids saw us. They got off the couch and ran to us. I sat my luggage down. I bent down

"Come here" I laughed holding my hands out. They all jumped into my arms

Mer bent down and hugged everyone.

"We missed you" Zola said

"We missed you guys too" I said

They backed up

"Okay kids time for bed" Amelia said

"Whyyyy" Bailey said

"Because you guys get grumpy" Amelia laughed

Mer and I got up. I grabbed Lexie and held her around my waist

"Come on guys" I said walking to the stairs

I walked up and they followed.

"Okay so take a shower, brush your teeth, and your mom and I will be in to tuck you all in after" I said to the kids

They went into their rooms. I went into Lexie's room and went into her bathroom. I turned on the bath.

"Are you ready for bath time" I smiled holding her up

She started laughing. I laughed with her. I undressed her and put her in her bath. I put bubbles in the water and gave her a ferry boat. She started playing with it. She played with her little duck and I rolled up my sleeves. She started splashing water on me. I splashed her back and we both started giggling. I bathed her and took her out of the bath. I dried her off and changed her. I put her in a lavender colored onesie. I stood her up on the sink and we were both looking at each other in the mirror. I fixed her curls.

"Look at you two" Mer laughed

I turned to look at her. I looked at Lexie.

"You want mommy?" I asked

She started grabbing the air. I handed her to mer.

"You guys are adorable" Mer laughed

She brought her to the crib and I followed. She tucked her into the bed.

"I came up to tell you that your sister and her boyfriends in bed" she said

"Oh" I smirked

I walked behind her and we stared at Lexie. She was slowly falling asleep. I leaned down and kissed her little head.

"She really does have amazing curls" Mer whispered

"She gets them from the best" I smiled rubbing my hands through my hair

She started giggling. We left the room and went into each of the kids rooms. We tucked them in and kissed them goodnight. We went downstairs and went into our bedroom. We changed into our pajamas. We laid down in bed.

"Everyone's asleep" I whispered kissing her cheek

"They are" she smiled

"Mmhm" I said rolling on top of her.

I started kissing her lips.

"Wait" she said putting her hands on her stomach

"Mer what's wrong" I asked concerned

"I don't know" she said

I got off of her. I went under the blanket. I pulled it over us and put my hand on her stomach. I started rubbing it a little.

"What does it fell like" I asked

"I don't know. It's weird" she said

I massaged her stomach and heard her light snores. I started smiling. I buried my head into her neck and fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and she was still asleep. I wrapped my arms around her back and held her tight. I put my cheek next to hers and our cheeks smashed together.

"Mmm" she said walking up

"Hey" I whispered

I kissed her cheek

"I love you" I said putting my hand on her leg

I moved up

"Derek" she laughed

She took my hand away from her and put it on her waist

"What" I laughed

"No" she laughed

I sighed and started smiling

"If you won't let me have this then I won't let you have sleep" I laughed grabbing a pillow

I hit her with it

"Derek stop" she laughed

"Never" I laughed hitting her again.

She grabbed her pillow and kept hitting me

"I surrender" I laughed

She hit me again and I started laughing. We got up and walked out of the room. We smelled something, something good. We went over to the kitchen and Amelia was making breakfast. This was going to be a good day
