Chapter 29

4 months later

Mer and I are at her OB appointment we haven't told anyone yet about the pregnancy. She was really scared. She changed into a patient gown and got onto the exam table. Addison walked in.

"Hi Meredith you know the drill" she smiled

I held Meredith's hand

"Ok I'm started off with a vaginal ultrasound" she said

Mer winced a little as she started. She turned the ultrasound machine on.

"Everything looks good" she said taking ultrasound pictures

She went to the regular ultrasound exam and started squirting the gel on Mer's stomach. The baby popped up on the screen.

"Oh wow" Mer smiled

"Your baby is very healthy right now. Would you like to know the sex" she asked

I looked down at Mer.

"Do you because I don't really care" I whispered

"Um I guess we'll wait until it's born" I said

"Okay" she nodded

She wiped the gel off my stomach

"Everything's done. I'm just going to go grab your pictures and you can be on your way" she said

She left the room. Mer got up and put her pants back on. We got everything ready and addy walked in with the little pictures.

"Thanks" Mer said

"If anything's different, don't be scared to call" addy said

"Thank you" Mer said

Addy left and we left the room after. We walked out of the hospital and went into the car. We drove home. We walked into the house and the kids were upstairs. Amelia was watching tv on the coach. I went over to the kitchen and heard Mer.

"Amelia there's something we need to tell you" Mer said

I shut the fridge and looked over at them. Mer looked at me then back at Amelia.

"What" Amy questioned

"I'm pregnant" Mer said

"What that's amazing" Amy said standing up

She hugged Mer. She looked at me and ran over to me

"Congrats you two" she said

I started smiling. Amelia was 7 months right know. You could notice her stomach. Mer was 4, but she was barely noticeable

"How far along" Amelia asked Mer

"Almost 5 months" she said

"Wow" Amy said

"Kids" Mer yelled

They all came down. Lexie had a toddler bed now, so it was easy for her. They walked over to mer and she pulled out the ultrasound pictures.

"Whattt" Zola smiled looking at them

I walked over to them

"Your mommy has a baby in her belly" I said rubbing Mer's back

"Yes, I wanted it to be a surprise but I couldn't wait any longer" she smiled

"Yes a brother" Bailey said

"We don't know it yet" Mer said

"Awww man" Bailey said walking away

"Mommy" Ellis asked
