Chapter 63

We left the patient room. I took her home and put her to bed. The kids were already in bed. I wasn't going to let anything bad happen to her.

1 week later

My mom is still missing. I'm so confused about everything. Mer's glowing veins went away and then they came back. I've been looking over my research to find out everything that has happened in my documents lately. They haven't updated anything. This is all so confusing. I'm not going to stop until I find out how to end this, for good.

7 months later

My mom is still missing. Mer is really healthy at this moment in time. She's been taking care of herself and letting me take care of her. We haven't found out the gender of the baby yet. She is 9 months
now. We wanted to wait. I built a nursery for our baby. It was 4am and I couldn't sleep. I felt something wet and Mer woke up.

"Derek" she said grabbing my arm

"What happened" I asked

She sat up and looked down

"I think my water just broke" she said

I started smiling

"Really" I smiled

"Yes" she smiled

We got up and changed the sheets. We got dressed and I went to the kids rooms. I woke them up and they all got dressed. I brought Lexie and Haley down. I put them into my car and helped Mer get in. I held her hand and held my hand on her stomach with the other

"This is it" I smiled

"It is" she smiled

I kissed her stomach and let go of her. I shut the door and went into the house. The kids came down and came outside with me. I put them into the car and we drove to the hospital. We went into a delivery room. The kids were laying on the couches outside of the room. I went with Mer and she put her gown on. Addison came in and put Mer's legs onto the stirrups. She checked her

"Ok so you're about 5 centimeters dilated" she said

"Only 5" Mer said

"Yes" Addy smiled

"I'm so sorry" she said

"This is worse then my other ones" she winced

She held my hand hard and I heard a crack

"Ow. Ow Mer ahhh let go" I winced

"I'm in more pain then you ahhhh" she yelled

I rubbed her back and wiped her face with a wet wash cloth that addy handed me.

"I'll be back in about an hour" she said

"An hour" Mer asked angrily

"Yes" Addy sighed

She left the room

"Ice chips" Mer said
