Chapter 50

We arrived in Seattle and got off the plane. We grabbed our luggage and walked outside. We went went into a taxi and she drove us to the hotel that we're staying out. We grabbed our bags and walked in. We went the the front desks and grabbed our cards. We walked up to our floor and went to the two rooms. The kids had their own rooms next to us. Our
rooms connected. I opened the kids room and they ran into the room. They got onto the bed and started setting up their Xbox. I unpacked their bags and put their clothes up.

"Hey guys we're going to have a family ferry boat ride.  So just a reminder for tonight" I smiled

"Okay dad" Zola said

"Yeah" Bailey said playing a game

I left the room and went into Mer and I's room. She was sitting on the bed with Haley. She put our clothes up already. I started choking up thinking about why we are here.

"Hey" she said getting up and looking at me

"I need to get my mind off of this" I said

I walked over to her and pushed her back onto the bed. Haley was next to us. I started kissing Mer's lips. The kiss quickly got heated. She put her hand on my chest.

"Wait" she said out of breath

I started licking my lips.

"What" I smiled

"We can't do this" she said moving.

She got up. I laid faced down onto the bed and wrapped my arm around Haley. She started laughing. I looked at her and started tickling her.

"I would've put her in the kids room" I said

I held her in my arms and got up. I turned to face Mer.

"It feels wrong" she said

"What does" I asked

"I don't know. I mean it doesn't but does at the same time" she said

"Okay" I sighed

"Are you hungry" she asked

"Not really" I said looking down at Haley

"Okay well I'm going to take the kids down to the restaurant in the lobby. Do you want to come" she asked

"I'm just going to spend time with my little girl" i said tearing up

"Okay you two have fun" she said kissing Haley's forehead

She looked up and I kissed her lips. She pulled away and left the room. Haley was sleeping in my arms. I put her into a little bassinet. I honestly just wanted time to myself. I missed being happy about everything. My kids, my wife, literally everything in my life isn't how it used to be. I laid on the bed and started watching tv. Haley was next to me and I put her baby blanket on top of her. I put my finger on her tiny little hand to let her know that I was here for her. I just keep thinking about my mom and sister. I have to say goodbye to them. I'm not ready, not this soon. They should be here. They should be able to watch my little babies grow up. I started crying thinking about them. My mom was everything to me. She's my world. I ended up falling asleep from the loss of energy from crying so much. I shook awake after feeling something. Mer was holding my free hand. I took my other hand that was next to Haley's. I wiped my eyes.

"Hey what's going on" I asked yawning

I saw her tearing up

"Mer what's wrong" I asked

"I'm just thinking about you" she whispered

"I'm okay" I smiled

"You sure" she asked
