i thought i'd post an old poem i wrote a long time ago since i can't think of anything to write:(( so here you go<3<3

i remember

how you tore my heart open

by the seams

like it was a heavy letter

you forgot to read

before falling in

too deep,

before tangling

your thoughts

with mine

until we were more

intertwined

than our hands

could ever be

yet you didn't listen

to my pent-up words

that rushed out to meet you

in a torrent of truth

tinged red

from the hazy beginnings

of love

i've kept hidden,

afraid they would

drown you

before you learn

how to swim

you only traveled

down the ever-changing

roads

of my heart

before pushing it away,

telling me it leads

somewhere

you can't follow,

somewhere as

unpredictable and unknown

as me,

somewhere you call

the future

love,
