Chapter 37: Thoughts Of You

Laura's POV:

Me and Ross didn't really talk about what happened.

We were just relaxed and happy and I kinda liked it that way.

We're about 30 minutes away from my house. The ride has been really peaceful but not that silent.

"Just remembered you chugged a whole bottle of beer last night" Ross laughed out.

I chuckled and said "I just remembered you lost on your own bet too!"

He just rolled his eyes as he shook his head.

I was just looking at him for awhile as he drives.

His round sun glasses on as the wind coming out from the window blows through his hair. I observed the quite calmness in him that I'd never really felt coming from him.

"What?" He said.

"It's nothing..." I said as I gave a small smile.

"I know I'm attractive but please the staring is creepy!!" Ross said proudly. I laughed and said "You wish Lynch!"

"Are you sure?" As he gave that playboy smirk he does which is actually kind of hot.

Fuck it. It's pretty fucking hot.

"Yeah I'm SHOR!!! Get it? SHOR!!" I laughed out as I tried to control my laughter.

"WOW LAURA WOW!" He sarcastically says as he bumps me with his fist.

I laughed a little more and said "just keep your hands on the wheel"

Ross and Laura ended up in the beach since it's just a walk away from Laura's house.

"Fruity Mint Swirl equals the best fucking shit ever!" I say as I put another spoon full of ice cream in my mouth.

Ross chuckles and says "You know Riker hates that flavor?"

"He's messed up. He better treat my sister like a fucking Queen or I'm going to beat him up!" I shot.

"Trust me, he's like in love with her!" Ross says.

"He better." I say sternly.

I run my hands through beaches sand as I listen to waves go in beat. The wind blows not to hard and not to soft.

These are the kinda scenes where you just wanna take the long run.

I catch Ross looking at me and smirking.

"Omg what?" I say.

"You look beau- one with the moment..." He stutters.

I blushed a little cause it sounded like he was going to say beautiful.

I see a flight of birds fly up the sky, soaring through the clouds and I look at Ross.

He was looking at the tremendous view too as I hear him chuckle a bit.

"I'm in it for the long run if this scene could just pause..." He says

"Exactly what I was thinking." I say.

Before I knew it my head was rested on his shoulder as his arm was slightly around me.

For some reason I just let it because yes, I liked it.

Ross looked at me and I looked at him back as we just smile.

Then I realized I was stalling.

WHAT THE HELL AM DOING RIGHT NOW WITH ROSS SHOR LYNCH.

My mind flies out of peace and suddenly I'm not one with the world.

I can't fall for this again.

"I have to go." I say as I stood up.

I start turn to walk towards my house as he grabs my wrist and says "can't you just st-"

I cut him off as I say "See you around..."

Here I am going insane as I'm consumed by the thoughts of you.
