Chapter 46: Drop in the Ocean

Laura's POV:

"Cmon Laura! Let's do it!!!" Maia pleads again for it seeming like the hundredth time.

"Again Maia NO!, I'm not playing one of his games again, I'm over that!" I sigh. "It's just a little treasure hunt type of thing! It won't harm anyone" She begs again while holding the map Ross slipped in my locker yesterday.

I examine her a little bit as she begs a little more by that I came it to a conclusion "You're part of this little thing aren't?" I ask. A nervous smile peals on her face as her eyes widen "what're you talking about" she tries to say confidently but fails.

"MAIA!" I exclaim.

"Okay okay okay fine geez" she admits. "HA! I knew it, so what's this little thing all about?" I ask. "That I won't tell you" she says as an evil smirk plasters on her face.

I shake my head and place my hand on my forehead creating a face palm movement.

"For the endth time NO!" I exclaim.

"OHMYGOD LAURA YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS UP ITS ALREADY 4 FUCKING PM AND YOU GOTTA STOP BITCHING AROUND BECAUSE ALL OF THE SHIT THAT TOOK FOREVER TO THINK OF WILL GO TO FUCKING WASTE!" she emphasizing-ly screams out.

My eyes widen in shock because Maia's mood took a turn. So finally I decided to say yes.

"Ok fine" I stutter.

After I said okay moment of silence Maia's serious face turned bright and cheerful again.

"Finally! & get changed!" She says skipping into the bath room. Well I guess she's changing too.

I laugh and say "You know Maia you freak me out sometimes!" I hear her laugh from the bathroom as she says "I love you too!"

I walk up to my closet and pick out an outfit. I grab a gray tight long sleeved top and tuck it in with my leather skirt. I grab an gray over sized flannel and put it over my selected outfit.

I slip on some black knee high socks and some heeled up combat boots.

I walk over to the mirror and curl my hair into some beach curls.

As I finished my makeup it came of as a natural looking set up. I throw in my black beanie and at the same time Maia opens the bathroom door.

"You ready?" She says as a sweet smile appears on her face. She was wearing a black crop top and some denim high water shorts with a kimono thrown over. With some black converse and a grey beanie.

She lets out her hand and says "let's go!" I grabbed it as we scurried down stairs.

"You know we better hurry it's already a quarter to 5!" She says.

We head out and I grab my car keys out of a pocket placed near the arm area of my grey flannel.

I took a turn to Maia and ask her "Who's driving?" "I read the map and you drive!" She says.

I nod in agreement and unlocked he car. Maia gets in front seat and I sit next to her on the drivers seat.

I put the key in the ignition as I turn to her again.

"Where too?" She smirks and quickly replaces it with giggle for excitement.

"School" she says.

"School?!" I re assure as I took a quick glance at the map.

"Are you serious? Why school...ya know-" she laughs and cuts off "stop complaining and start driving she says.
