Chapter 40: Oceans

Laura's POV:

Monday,Monday,Monday!

My alarm rings as I douse up from bed. I check my clock and see that I'm going to be late for sure.

Well in high school if you're late,you're fucking late might as well have a relaxing breakfast while you're at it.

I go to my bathroom and heat up a warm shower.

That shower was amazing. Is it just me or like you feel lazy to shower but when you're in the shower you're to lazy to get out. Meh.

I blow dry my hair and left it nice and flowed up. I grab my black undies and slide them on. I put on a matching black bra. I am incredibly happy with my body and I'm not saying that cause I'm full of my self it's just you gotta make life your own paradise.

I but on a black crop top with the band print of 'ACDC' on it. (a/n: raise your hand if you love that band) I grab some ripped jeans and black converse. I put it on the right amount of make up and head out.

Everyone left for work and school I guess because I'm the only one home. I see a note near the door that says.

'Late again? Dishes for 2 days with no help :) love, mom,dad and ness'

I roll my eyes and head out to school.

Lunch time! Finally I am starving! Even though I had a heavy breakfast at McDonald's earlier, math could be pretty stressing.

I was walking to the cafe with Luke. Until I see someone crying near the corner bench facing the fields.

It was a girl with a familiar frame. She was sobbing continuously. It was Maia. Yes I know she's been a bitch and an asshole to me this past school year but she's only human.

Caught up by what this society wants her to be.

I sigh with aw and say "hey I'm going to talk to her" Luke's eyes widen and say "You sure about that?" I chuckle and say "what's there to loose...I'll meet you at the cafe!" I re a sure him. He nods and walks away.

I walk up and sit next to Maia. She starts sucking her tears and pants. "What do you want Laura? I bet you're enjoying this" she spat until she starts sobbing again.

I pat her back and let out a sigh. "Maia you've been a bitch and as crazy as this sounds I want you to know that you could talk to me..." I say.

She gives me a small smile and hugs me.

"Now what's wrong?" I ask. She starts sobbing again "You know David Lambert right? We've known each other since we were like 12 and I fell in love with him. He knows me we're so called best friends. I TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET HIS ATTENTION BU-BU WHEN I TOLD HIM HOW I FELT....well you know where that goes" she cried out.

"AND THATS NOT IT! I FEEL LIKE SO LOW AND STUPID IDK IF MY SO CALLED FRIENDS ARE FRIENDS AND I JUST THINK IM BEING WHAT OTHER PEOPLE WANT ME TO BE I JUST NEED TO CRY!" She continues.

"Maia, David made a darn huge mistake for telling you off. You're incredibly beautiful and damn since ya'll were 12 and he'd go for a what lower classed girl? GURL YOU DONT NEED THE FRIENDZONE TRUST ME THEIR COME A TIME HE'D BE RUNNIN TO YOU AND YOUD BE FRIENDZONING HIM!" I exclaimed.

She chuckled "you're right...the thing is I really like him..." "Fight for him until it's worth what he's worth, stop when you know what he's worth isn't worth it"

"And to all the people bringing you down and to all those fake as bitches they'll never be worth what you're worth.." I continued.

From that moment on my heart grew warm on Maia.

She cried a little more and threw in a laugh as she hugged me tight.

"You know I say the the same with Ross, he's in love with you trust me he just can't put it into words..." Maia says warmly.

"Tsk that asshole doesn't know the meaning of that word" I say flatly.

"You should give him a shot..." She says. I sigh and say "he's like the ocean so deep, and is making me desperate to drown but I'm not letting me self. I fighting of the urge to drown in him and instead I helplessly float looking for help..."

"What if when you drown and fall back he saves you and gives you breathe...what if he doesn't make the same mistake again" she says.

"If is the word that keeps me doubting" I say.

She chuckles and says "how bout lets ditch a class and hang at the mall to get our mind of this?" I laugh and say "game on"

From this day on I swear me and Maia were like soul sisters that got incredibly close in one day.

Ross' POV

Ross saw Luke at the music shop and are now surprisingly hanging out at the open fields and just talking.

The were jamming and having a good time. The got closer by the minute but of course the Laura topic got in the business. Now they're in the middle of talking about her.

"Laura, she hooked with that Cameron Dallas dude" I say rolling my eyes. Luke chuckles and says "I'm not sure if they're dating but they've been hooking up a lot.."

"You I'd rather have you shove your self to her than him.." I say. Luke taps my back as I say "God this is driving me insane! Fuck..."

"Ross. It's called fee-lings, you feel this stuff called jealousy so you do stupid things. So it's either you get up there and fight for her or stay here lumping around crying cause she won't go back go back to you!" Luke said in a tone as if I didn't understand english.

"Believe me, I tried" I say with a sigh. "Well pretty boy, believe me "try" won't get you anywhere" he says.

God I missed this dude.

"Don't you have feelings for her?" I ask. "Well yes it's there but she's my bestfriend and I think it's taking over my feelings for her romantically" I say.

I smile and let out my hand.

"Oh no not the hand shake" he says. "Oh the hand shake!" I assure him.

I walking over to the beach just get a quick cup of ice cream. There I bump into Laura.

I scratch me head and say "Laur...you're here!" She laughs awkwardly and says "well live right there so yea..."

"Well see ya around then!" I say. She nods with agreement.

GOD LUKE WAS RIGHT I AM SO BAD AT THIS OH NO PANIC ATTACK IS SHOULD DO OR SAY SOMETHING.

"Laura..." I say. "Yea?" She says.

Out of anything so stupid I could possibly do.

I kiss her.

Laura and Maia are gonna be v close now and Luke and Ross got there bromance back yay!
